Are the pundits and commentators afriad to be honest about McClaren? in Ireland the Irish pundits were going mental about Staunton after one of our games, calling for his head and ranting about how shit he is

Yeah, but commentators shouldn't lambast people in football remember.

If credit should be given when its due then surely so should criticism?

Taking the piss mate.

England's best players both came from Manchester City.

I'm not being biased either.

Well a little bit. But not that much.

Is nice.

McClaren out btw.

Joe Cole came from West Ham, you div.

Richards and SWP both did well, thought Joe Cole was alright too.

If we get ris of McClaren though, who comes in? Remember the debacle last time...

Allardyce was absolutely desperate for the job last time.

I don't think he would get the chance again tho cos of all that Panorama stuff.

The FA will probably walk over broken glass to get Scolari. And they would be right too. Or get someone else proven at international level.

PS: SWP > Joe Cole. :hmm:

Shorey looked out of his depth.

When they showed the bench towards the end of the game, Owen had a face like a smacked arse, and Taylor looked like he was going to cry. Poor Taylor- Wes Brown was hopeless.

Thought they were both good tonight. Cole does all those tricks, though, so that's makes him a little bit better in my eyes.

England were simply awful and thats putting it nicely.

Typical England performance under McClaren, good start, get to confident, the other team then come back into it and play us off the park with possession to the point where we get desperate and play long balls to a man who is 6'7" but cannot win a decisive header.

Lampard should not be anywhere near the England squad as he was AGAIN very poor tonight and dropped deep far too much, when he should be letting Carrick pick it up from the defenders and spray it around to players like Lampard in a more advanced position, but instead when he did get the ball Lampard was a little more than a few feet away from him.

The only positive to come out of it was Micah Richards in the first 20 mins, but McClaren again showed his lack of a brain by bringing Wes Brown on to play at right back and move MR into central defence, thus nulifying Englands attack down the right hand side.

The whole England system needs an overhaul starting with McClaren.

We need a manager with guts who doesnt pick players on reputation, and who has the guts to drop the likes of Lampard and Robinson.

Fantastic flick by Smith, world class. Nice little pass there, an' all. Talentless indeed.

I've never heard of a flick been described as world class before.

I know you're not exactly regular, but that was very tongue-in-cheek.

Have Gerrard and Carrick played together in a normal 4-4-2 for England? Can't remember.

If not, fuck Lampard off and see if if works better.

Howay man, Carrick was fucking toss, again. We looked miles better with Barry in there and individually he was a massive step-up from MC. I thought Lampard was quality tonight, an' all.

I'd prefer Hargreaves if I'm being honest.
