  1. I've had some harsh things put at me in my time but lumping me with that lot is below the belt. It was just a question.
  2. We don't owe the ground St James Park is on though, the council does, so it's surely worth next to noubt to any bank ??
  3. http://financial-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Capital+Outlay So doesn't mean no cash as I thought, means we'll pay for players in full as has since been mentioned on here.
  4. Just to add to this, Im sure there is also a rule that you have to pay the first 50% of the transfer straight off only the rest can be in instalments.
  5. To be fair, forgetting the statement, he has already got a few hundred million invested in the club. According to him, though i believe nothing he says. His figures and debts do not add up to the scale he keeps coming out with, we'd have wound up like Portsmouth by now if so. IF were running close to £40-50m loss a year the it would have been in his best interest to give the club away rather than cover it and keep covering it. It's not him it's the accounts signed off by an auditor.

  7. Might this explain why Ashley changed the loan plan so that it can be paid off from now. He could basically be using the extra cash we get to pay off the loan and his "plan" is for the club to break even and be debt free in 5 years ? Surly that's all the club can mean by the break even statement else we'll have broke even next season.
  8. That would surely mean outlaying that cash for transfers. They have said they wont do that.
  9. Should sell them after the WC and then buy up the best of the championship imo So when we get relegated we'll still be able to come straight back up Young upcoming players in the chamionship should keep us up Like who ? Young upcoming Championship players usual cost a small fortune.
  10. Gets us what £8m for S +R Taylor, Best, Xisco and smith then 12.5m for Jonas and Coloccini. £3m Carroll and same for Krul. So how do you replace that lot with just over £20m ?
  11. Was never mentioned by the club

  13. No capital outlay means just that. We will have to sell to buy. As has been mentioned they are hoping for a good World Cup by wor spider man
  14. We wont cause we wont be in the market lol
  15. Gets the summer of disappointment in the transfer market out of the way early. It'll stop plenty buying season tickets that's for sure
  16. So he can be sold to pay for transfers ?
  17. Think this tells us alot actually "The first team squad that won the Championship this year will form the basis of the team for next season in the Premier League. There is no plan for new capital outlay on players.
  18. Except was a signing till the end of the year and wasn't being paid £80k a week
  19. The club are about £200m in debt, of which about £150m is owed to Mike Ashley. If he wants his money back Newcastle will be run like Happy Shopper for the foreseeable future. He could wipe the debt by using it's value to purchase new shares in the club, but hasn't. And has no reason to. The debt to Ashley arises from his crass decision not to check out which loans were repayable. Effectively he's refinancing out of his own pocket a debt that was easily manageable under its previous arrangement. The banks didnt want us to have an overdraft, chances of them being happy for us to continue with the loan with the problems banks were having is very very slim The club has an overdraft. That's not where the £111m came from. What ?? I said the banks didn't want to give us an overdraft due to the state of the club. Ashley had to agree to cover the debt to get one. So if they were happy to recall our overdraft do you think the banks would have been happy to keep the loan we had ? Would they hell they would have wanted there money back causing the club in turn to go under or at the very least go the way of Portsmouth.

  22. I don't agree, with the players who left at the end of last season and contracts that have expired our wages should be at a decent amount for premiership football next season.
