More chance than Elanga winning one tbf
-
But that doesn’t make Burn’s performance acceptable either, that’s the point I’m making.

Why on here are we obsessed with criticising player X as a way to defend player Y? Ruined a fairly balanced post with that last line.

Would be a good result at the moment. I reckon it’ll be that too -
We should stick a cardboard cut out of Isak on the bench to get the atmosphere going

It has been suggested yeah. Pretty certain he meant it personally.

What's the expectation of Elanga once he's run in behind? Run it out for a goal kick to keep the ball away from our goal longer? Absolutely no offence, but I can't think of a single one of our players who I wouldn't prefer in that position to Elanga. Maybe Lascelles. -
I'd play Wissa instead of Gordon with Hall behind him covering the entire wing. The issue, like everything this season, is our wide players. Yeah he looked absolutely knackered last night (which probably comes from being wrestled to the floor every time the ball comes to him) but without the full backs and wingers actually offering an out-ball he's always going to struggle.
-
How does that even work? It makes no sense (Can kinda see why people think he's trying to put that back across the box from this photo)
-
Rice and Tonali in midfield would be a cheat code. Fuck that.
-
He's in the top 75 most expensive premier league signings of all time. I reckon we're allowed to expect a bit more. I really just don't think he's suited to us at all. Perhaps Howe will find a way to change his game (like teaching him how to trap a ball and pass to a teammate to start) but £55m is nuts for a player you then have to redevelop.

Surprised Liverpool haven’t signed him yet
