Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)
Shearergol replied to Disco's topic in Football
So he’s already injured. That extra running starting to pay off already. -
Hope we play Ritchie in central midfield and Hayden right wing again.

Agree with this. Quality of the championship is miles better than last time, plus we won’t have Rafa.

3-0 Norwich

Chron reckons we've spent £61M ? Includes agent fees and future wages. Doesn't take into account wages coming off the payroll. It's probably about right given the long contracts the new lads have been given.

Guys, let's just think about the future of this forum before committing too much to text eh ;-)

Bruce tends to do well for a year or so and then it goes downhill. He kept Birmingham and Hull up the table before taking them down and Sunderland going the same way when he was sacked. Yeah, nah, not on that showing. Bruce is a promotion expert. That's why we have him. He's here for years, trying to yo-yo between the leagues.

League Cup 2nd Round - Newcastle unsurprisingly knocked out by Leicester
Shearergol replied to 54's topic in Football
Knocked out by Walsall away. -
What is it now, nearly £900m in TV money coming into the club over the last 12 years? So this "good businessman" has made us so expensive to run that it's all been used on running costs? Does it cost £75m a year to run a football club? This is ignoring advertising, marketing, ticket sales, prize money (cough) of course. But no, the money hasn't "gone anywhere" has it Mike.

After 3 pages I still don't understand the question like.

YouTube "Leeds Fans tribute to Gary Speed at Newcastle 2013" 36k fans in attendance. Majority of the ground looks full.

I shouldn't comment on this thread as I've been quite clear that I think Ritchie is one of the worst players in the team over the last couple of years, but I must say I found it amusing seeing him play central midfield. Like he'd never played the game before.

Which were already counted in the clubs attendance figures. Yes, and along with the evidence of the two blocks geordie b posted, it's not hard to understand it could well have been 42k through the gates. It is pretty hard to understand like. You’re suggesting 20% of the stadium didn’t show up. The attendance at this game was 46k Pretty easy to find certain photos showing a full ground.

I thought it was Dummett's fault when I first saw it, but watching it back it's clearly Willem's fault.
-
It's probably the key part of this whole thing and for me shows that this club is never moving forward. He's never selling, he's never pushing on. A club in stasis until he dies.

Ritchie playing central midfield in Bruce's first game just epitomises what we're going to see all season. This is Ritchie, left winger converted to left wing back, needed replacing after the Championship season Ritchie. I'm almost certain Colback would do a better job in central midfield than Ritchie.

He's all about the man management, with zero ability on the football side. The guy's an absolute joke and the players know it.
