  1. Shelvey had a bad game or just not colback levels of fitness yet?
  2. Err why not? Runs like a headless chicken, no goals, diver and looks like the crazy frog, what's to like? Well I'll be the first to say it. Fuck off. Check his posting history.
  3. I’m really tempted to stick it on. Been telling myself I wouldn’t for weeks now.
  4. At least we know the club is dead until Ashley is. The majority of fans don’t actually care if the club tries, as long as the players do.
  5. That’s our level though, as long as we give Burnley and palace a game. Support the team.
  6. With all of the abuse i’ve Taken on Twitter and Facebook, I hope all the fans there are singing their hearts out supporting the boys?
  7. Weird, given how good at running he is
  8. Rafa's training is incredibly intense and to a certain extent repetitive and boring. He will make players repeat drills, positions till they are 100% perfect. It is a lot of information for folks to process. And he is incredibly cold and brutal apparently during training. His attitude was "you train 4 hours per day for 4 days, get paid millions of dollars, why are you complaining, this is nothing compared to what the rest of society do, if you cant take this get out of here". It takes players of a certain mentality to appreciate Rafa - Torres, Reina, Baraja, Mascherano, Garcia. I think there is a big cultural mentality difference in how players from some of these countries approach training - they are ok with it being hard, repetitive, and boring. At LFC too, when Rafa left, there was a lot of statements from players like Gerrard, Carra on how training was "more fun" now. Even Bellamy, who played for LFC under Rafa and King Kenny said how training was more fun under King Kenny. However, at the end of their career, almost all of them acknowledged that Rafa was the best manager they trained under. I think pretty much all of them realized it once we started dropping down the table. So I don't think the NUFC players are being disingenuous or anything. I think they are genuinely enjoying freedom. They don't have a person walking up to them shouting at corners, when the opposition is making 32 degree runs in front of you using zonal marking, you should stand 26 inches from the goal line at 48 degrees. You were at 24 inches and standing at 41 degrees. Let us repeat this 37 more times till you get it right. Post more
  9. Do I boycoutt this thread as well as the match thread?
  10. Yep, that’ll encourage smaller clubs to develop players and won’t put 90% of them out of business at all.

    Andy Carroll

Don't take this badly Kaka, but if you think that's the reason Carroll was brought back, I have some Florida swampland available you might want to take a look at. it's quite amusing watching him twist anything and everything into being a positive. Fucking mental, but amusing. I’m extremely envious of him. Wish I could get into that mindset tbh.
  12. Did Murphy end up going?
  13. Doesn’t matter to most fans. As long as we have a go at teams like Norwich and Brighton, they won’t care seeing Aguero net his 8th of the game at sjp.

    Andy Carroll

    I wasn’t far off. “Steve’s a great manager and a Geordie”
  15. Urgh, when will he leave? Although we’ll need him next year.
  16. 40 million is a very reasonable price for a talented and relatively young player with an English passport. It is a good purchase for Everton. I love Iwobi as a person and I really hope he develops further and reaches his full potential, but I can't lie, I am worried. Not sure he'll ever have any outstanding attributes. I like the signing of Saint-Maximin a lot better, and for half the fee at that. Albeit Iwobi is an excellent character with absolutely no concerns on that side of things. But still ... Let us be honest, if Allan was born in Croydon or Woodford rather than the banlieues of Paris he would cost 30 million too, despite his shortcomings. Iwobi will do well, imo, and can be a big player for a club at that level, even if he doesn't develop too much more. He is clearly very skillful, a good passer, and is surprisingly strong/quick. He lacks something around the goal in terms of decision making (his return has never been enough in that area), but this is why the player is going to Everton. I find the popular idea that Iwobi is rubbish to be crazy. It's Newcastle Online. Everyone is rubbish except Rafa Benitez. And Schar
  17. That's weird, someone else said the Krafth deal had fallen through in a previous post. I’ll be honest I didn’t know who he was or that we’d already been linked but I was told this only a few hours ago. I was also told that Nsoki should be successfully resolved as well. One out of three previously reported targets. The most successful itk ever on here.

    Andy Carroll

Can’t wait for “when I heard Newcastle were in for me I couldn’t say no. Steve is a Geordie just like me and knows what the fans want. Mike’s an honest guy and he’s trying to give some pride back to the area, I just can’t wait to get fit and start knocking them in again like before I left”

    Andy Carroll

I dunno, David Luiz has just gone for 8M, really can't see you getting 15M for Gayle. Also, you should probably have appended a qualifying adjective to Joselu too . That's always the mooted figure and seems relatively achievable given the fees paid for strikers. But even so, let's call it 8-12m. We should still be looking to get someone in who is better than Gayle by spending some money. Joelinton - Rondon Perez - Maxim Almiron Joselu - Carrol Muto Gayle Not a bad line up to be fair. Anyone proven from a foreign league is unproven in the PL and anyone prem proven is out of our price range so it's kind of a moot point. I dont see too many proven strikers in any league going for £40m. Joelinton represents a huge gamble by any clubs standards so I can't be mad with the signing in much the same way I wasnt annoyed with the Almiron signing who was equally unproven. If we were to get a CM I'd of actuslly have been happy with this window up until the point I remembered Steve Bruce was our manager. We could definitely spend 25-30m on a striker and improve on Gayle. And we have the cash to do it. 25-30m on a second or 3rd choice striker? Can only see Jiminez, Kean and Leoã at those prices. I'd have been happier if they'd bought a CM but our forward line looks the strongest in a long while, on paper at least. I preferred your pre-edit post when you pointed out that if Carroll wasn’t injured he’d be worth more. Yeh, I deleted it because the fact he is always injured made that point moot. Which was my reply until you deleted it
