Remy's finished at this level

A football career is pretty short to be fair. Aye, tbf he's only getting 30 years of the average person's annual salary each week. I mean football has been f***ed for a few years now, but this is beyond ridiculous. Why are you so interested in the content of this man's accounts? All over the world, people are making more than this by sitting on money from previous generations and wanton corruption. Neymar is one of the best footballers in the world, why should he not be paid on par with the best bankers, actors, or musicians in the world? Which musician gets 750k a week for 5 years like? James Blunt. Justified

How many seasons have we had now where we've all been waiting until the last minute to sign players? It just never happens. It's not being pessimistic when we have plenty of evidence to back it up. Nothing's changed, other than we have a world class manager.
-
We NEED to sell because we've got far too many players...far more than you can register. No club in the country would continue buying players without shifting their deadwood. We are no different in that respect. We are very different in other respects like, but shifting players on before we bloat the squad even more is massively important. so naive man. How many players do Chelsea have, about 40 thousand or something int it? Loan shite like Haidara out and pay half of their wages if we have to. How is that naïve? It's absolutely right, and probably the reason Rafa isn't kicking off. He knows the squad needs to be trimmed. It's easy enough to say we should be doing these deals as favours to other clubs, but if there's interest there for a permanent deal, then why not explore that option? The squad needs to be trimmed, it also desperately needs another 4 or 5 players of Premiership quality. I'll let you decide which is more important. Well that certainly strikes me as the more naïve perspective on managing the squad. I think it's obvious that Rafa is of the more sensible opinion. You think it's Rafa's choice? You think he'd rather be relegated than deal with a bloated squad?

We have 2 strikers though. 2. Naah. We've got about 5 players who could play up front. It's just that they're mostly shit/young/played deeper most of the time. Having strikers is different to having players who could play upfront. Unless you're counting Toney and Armstrong? Ignoring younguns, we've got Gayle/Mitro/Perez/Riviere. I'm not saying anything about their ability, just the fact that Mike looks at the squad, sees 4 strikers, says if you want another, sell one of these twats. And then we wander out to the market trying to shill our Riviere wares and the whole world s at us. Are we the only club in the history of football with this issue? Assume we're the only ones giving 5.5 year contracts to shit footballers.

I'd imagine our shit players are on a fairly high salary. The likes of Colback and Riviere are probably being looked at by shit championship or decent league one teams who can't pay them anything near what they're on.

What sort of striker does £12m get you these days? And who loans out decent number 10's? We're in for a long hard season. We may be able to negotiate Lucas Perez's fee to be lowered to that tbf. I rate him, but I expected better when the window opened. Oh well.
