Didn't realise our friend Garth posted on RTG.
  2. Based on expected goals stat would be more interesting.
  3. Rafa has said he's not for sale. Means nowt with Ashley and Barnes calling the shots mind.
  4. The pitch at Southampton looks awful.
  5. Doesn't she live there and regularly travels between there and the UK Yes, she has residences in both.
  6. Just reporting rumours and nothing to do with me but heard she's currently in the first class lounge at the airport in Dubai and about to board a plane to the UK.
  7. Not according to her page. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/officers/UBTFbc_vnnOn6-TT9TNrlyj5fQI/appointments Depends how her name is entered, the system isn't too clever at working out duplicate people on the system. E.g. see: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/officers/azbTVRCuEqlAzcjZpt8fiXNv6gI/appointments and her main businesses are under https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/officers/cNei33fFz49_qFock3vFyKvACWo/appointments
  8. We've already beaten Stoke at home this season so who gives a fuck. At home we've stopped the rot, time to make sure we beat Swansea and get the job done.
  9. It tended to be Perez when we didn't have the ball but quite often they interchanged which one dropped deep. E.g. the early counter when Perez won the ball in the centre circle and then sent Atsu into the box for a decent chance. Atsu and Murphy also swapped over a few times and Murphy ended up further forward. It was a real fluid set up and Stoke couldn't cope. Credit to Rafa.
  10. ----------------Woodman Sterry--- Mbemba-- Dummett--Haidara/Gamez -----------Hayden------Barsaler -----------------Merino----- Aarons--------------------------Murphy ------------------Gayle
  11. Was awful around me, but it's the same people time and time again full of shit spouting off. It's as if we hadn't lost 5 in a row at home going into the game.

    Rafa Benítez

It's started to creep back into use on here recently and it needs to stop.
  13. This was caused because Spurs v West Ham could only get a safety certificate for a 44k capacity game at Wembely on New Years Eve so that got re-arranged. This was bad fixture planning in the first place and a better solution should have been found for rescheduling that one other than waiting until Thursday this week.
  14. He's the last of our worries right now, and we need more than 11 players. He certainly hasn't got to go as you put it.
  15. Didn’t his lass not like it up here or some s***? He fell out with Keegan and that was the end of him.

    Jacob Murphy

Quite a few wanted him hauled off at half time today.

    Rafa Benítez

Did the same on the TV. Just said he was concentrating on the next match.

  19. Can only play what's in front of you. We did that today and won. We should have had more, we had plenty of chances in the first half. If you can't see that or accept that you are an idiot or a WUM.
  20. He really doesn't. He's usually either trying a very difficult attacking pass or is looking for runners into channels when we have nothing on. He certainly doesn't just lump it long back to the opposition. Because of this and the fact he's one of the few willing to take risks with his passing he will naturally give the ball away a lot more than our sideways and backwards merchants. Watch the last few games when he's not played well. I do think this is a symptom though of just him constantly looking for those attacking passes, as you've said, rather than Dummett-style lumping (that's not what I meant). I think maturity really needs to come his way, both for his temperament and overall play. Again, no complaints today. He even closed down and pressed higher up the pitch today to break up their absurd long balls. Agreed, he needs better players around him for us to make the most of us passing ability. He did well today. Merino suffered from similar problems against Brighton. No one else wanted the ball and he kept giving it away as a result.
