He really doesn't. He's usually either trying a very difficult attacking pass or is looking for runners into channels when we have nothing on. He certainly doesn't just lump it long back to the opposition. Because of this and the fact he's one of the few willing to take risks with his passing he will naturally give the ball away a lot more than our sideways and backwards merchants.

I don't think you understand probability and percentages. Clearly we are still very much in this relegation battle and there is a very reasonably chance we will get relegated, but 80% is very, very high.
-
You think we have an 80% chance of going down? That's very very high. At the moment aye, I can see us drawing or losing to Swansea and we have Man City away soon. A takeover and some investment changes all that or could do. 7 points from 12 is great, but it’s still very close down there and we are still a very poor side. But 80% likely to go down? That's insane.

Do f*** off the pair of you, and I say that with the utmost respect. No time for gloating or told you sos, let’s just enjoy a rare and vital win. Doubt anyone is unhappy today like. You saying you're a c***?

I'm fairly sure he was wrong as Clark has played significantly more PL games. Think he meant for Newcastle. Shelvey also has more.

Its what in trying to work out (I listened to it) as some on here are saying he played through the middle. He played through the middle but roamed all over.
-
No he played centrally and drifted both ways, linked up well on the right side but also had a good chance through the middle into the left hand side of the area.

Glad we kept Murphy on despite most on here wanting him hooked at half time. It was clear we were really strong down our right. We barely attached down the left. Such a one sided heat map today:

Eh? I thought he was totally anonymous. Like Alan Smith in his prime. Did you watch the game?

I see Mahrez has started turning it on again just in time for the transfer window.

Is he on performance enhancing drugs? Got his legs back.

Sky have deleted this now. Some overly happy Newcastle fan on their social media desk?

Brilliant run, picking it up in his own half, and a fantastic ball in behind.

It's all about context and works both ways. Both sides on here (myself included) go to the extreme. Given we had 5 straight home defeats before Brighton, the more I think about it the more I think Rafa just didn't want us to get beat. In most circumstances that's normally not really acceptable at SJP but this has set the base for today. I just hope we can push on now and beat Swansea at home next time out in the league.
-
Brighton wasn't good enough but I reckon the mast majority would have been delighted with four points from these two games so who cares. I think a lot of the Brighton game was about just not getting beat for Rafa after 5 straight home defeats.

He's a decent goalkeeper with poor concentration. Did well today coming for some crosses as well. It's his concentration and decision making that makes him not good enough at this level. Did well today.
