Just logged in online and got an extra ticket. Single seats only, whole of the Gallowgate, Leazes End and East Stand are sold out. Only tickets left in Milburn Level 7 and Level 4 of the West Corner.. oh and corporate areas.
-
Could this be our first sell out of the season? I've just been down to the box office to hand in (late) applications for Birmingham City and Spurs away and there a few people camped out in a tent waiting to be first in the queue for tickets as they go on general sale tomorrow. No need for that to be honest but do you think we will sell out?
-
It is a tactic to kick the ball straight out of play for a throw in to the other team? Sorry but his kicking is shite.
-
Didn't Clarence Acuna get caught drink driving after one of our Christmas parties still in his fancy dress costume?
-
If we win blame it on me for sorting your tickets! :winking:

Philip Green is a lifelong Spurs fan. He has turned down the opportunity to invest in Spurs on a number of occasions as he does not see it as a sensible investment, so there is no fucking chance he will be looking into buying Man City.

He had stated a fact above and was then summarising it below. Not to hard to see unless you are illiterate. you got it wrong, get over it GREG. The guy Steve clearly made error. If he did do what you said (summarising it below) then why didnt he just explain that when i called him out on he's attendence error?? Maybe next time. Ok then, are you going to answer the questions I asked about you not being able to sell out until recently as the statistics I posted proved, or do you accept that you struggled to sell out until recently? Oh and typing my name in capitals shows what exactly? My user name on this board had been Greg since I joined December 2004, I only changed it recently for the sake of it.

yea but we still get a lot more people than them in our ground On the basis that it holds more, thats it! "On the basis it holds more" dear me?!?!?!!? They never filled their little 36,000 unless they were playing us, Man Utd or Arsenal up till 2004! Fact is Spurs can't even fill 36,000 for a League game half the time, they'd have as many empty seats as Man City with our capacity, and every Spurs fan on earth knows that in their hearts. oh is that right?? well can you explain this then you lying power ranger http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/PR/attend.html Team Pld Total Highest Average Capacity Pct 1 Arsenal (3) 8 480290 60115 60036 60432 99.3% 2 Manchester United (1) 8 605330 76004 75666 76212 99.2% 3 Reading (6) 8 191833 24110 23979 24225 98.9% 4 Chelsea (2) 7 292670 41953 41810 42294 98.8% 5 West Ham United (17) 7 242642 35000 34663 35303 98.1% 6 Tottenham Hotspur (10) 8 284612 36162 35577 36237 98.1% 7 Portsmouth (4) 8 157767 20146 19721 20328 97.0% 8 Liverpool (5) 8 350661 44330 43833 45362 96.6% 9 Sheffield United (16) 8 237940 32584 29743 30864 96.3% 10 Fulham (12) 8 173782 24510 21723 22602 96.1% 11 Newcastle United (18) 7 347759 51569 49680 52387 94.8% 12 Watford (20) 7 131897 19660 18842 19920 94.5% 13 Charlton Athletic (19) 8 204840 27011 25605 27113 94.4% 14 Everton (7) 8 296723 40004 37090 40394 91.8% 15 Bolton Wanderers (9) 8 186716 27229 23340 28101 83.0% 16 Manchester City (11) 8 310160 42192 38770 47500 81.6% 17 Aston Villa (8) 8 274828 42551 34354 42551 80.7% 18 Middlesbrough (15) 8 224767 31424 28096 35041 80.1% 19 Wigan Athletic (13) 7 124977 22089 17854 25138 71.0% 20 Blackburn Rovers (14) 8 166381 27662 20798 31154 66.7% will post up last seasons attendences as soon as i get them. To him you're 17 and Soccer AM is your favourite show. To the brummie do you want a medal? They are just the stats from this season so far and prove nothing, apart from the fact you can often fill a small ground which is nothing to shout about. Stevie is right, up until a few years ago you were getting shit attendances for Premier League games. KingDawson, would you like to explain why you only managed to break the 36k mark 5 times in the 2003/4 season? I could go back a few more seasons and get more stats proving you could not sell out till recently. 15th Oct 2001, 6,000 empty seats for a home league game against Derby County, 5,000 empty seats 30th March 2002 against Boro. Many others too but I would be here all night, it is a fact that up until recently you struggled to sell out apart from games against the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United. Oh i see, so stevie was also right in saying "Fact is Spurs can't even fill 36,000 for a League game half the time" He said until recently, 2004. I've put it in bold for you. 'They never filled their little 36,000 unless they were playing us, Man Utd or Arsenal up till 2004!'

They also said Solano never plays Right Back, Forster was Scottish and that Ramage was from Ashington...Channel 5... I thought Ramage was from Ashington? Whitley Bay. Berwick isn't it?

The German Football Association/Federation whatever they are called forced all their players to wear Addidas boots at the World Cup, a few players with sponsorship deals with other companies such as Nike complained, think Jens Lehman was one who complained about it.

there is something wrong with Newcastle's central midfield. Parker and Emre don't get forward enough, or gel properly. Butt and Parker is too defensive but good for certain games ie yesterday. Butt and Emre would be similar to Parker and Emre. And Emre is a homer. What bothers me more than anything, is that despite being aware of the fact it isn't good, Parker still ends up on his arse far too much. And as partnerships, they just don't appear to be working at their flaws ie dovetailing, which they must be aware of. We spend too much time giving the ball away and defending because of our weakness in midfield and up front. There is too big a gap between the midfield players and the front men. When did you last see Emre get into the box ? Yet he is supposed to be the most attacking player of the two ? He should be consistently looking to support his front players and running past them as well. Emre took a shot from inside the box against Sheffield United. I was so shocked I nearly fell over.

I was hinting at that earlier in this thread, I would have thought it would not take a great deal to motivate the team for a game against Arsenal in a new 60k stadium that none of them have ever played in before. It will be a lot harder for Roeder et al to get them up for Portsmouth and Reading at SJP. Time will tell, but this point means fuck all if we don't pick up 6 out of 6 in the next 2 league games.

Having seen the game on the TV here are my thoughts. First-half diagnosis? Arsenal dominated but we defended well. A great goal by Kieron Dyer and it was great to see us try and pass the pall out from the back, rather than lumping it long as usual, despite the goal coming from a a high ball up to Martins. They pissed on us for a lot of the first half, 11 attempts to 1 I believe it was. Their problem was that they kept trying to walk the ball into the net and we were defending pretty well. We did very well to slow the pace of the game down and it worked to keep them at bay, they very rarely got in behind your full backs, whats the betting they would have if it had been Carr and Babayaro playing? Second-half diagnosis? They came out and upped the temp straight away, we defended well and I thought Titus Bramble was a rock at the back, I was just waiting for him to make a stupid mistake and he did, but the ball went across the box and there was no danger. Stupid foul by Steven Taylor on Henry which led to their goal, apart from that he had a steady enough game. We did well to hold on for a point in the end, Martins showed some nice touches and some good skill a couple of times to skin a few Arsenal defenders but often there were very few options for him. I thought Martins had a good game, held the ball up well at times and made some good runs with the ball in the channels, he did have a golden chance to score a second goal for us, he was though..10 yards out but his first touch let him down and it ran through to Jens Lehmann. Other than that, a good game for Oba on his return from injury. Dyer was a lot less involved in the second half, but still did some nice work but he tired and struggled to make an impact as the game went on. Shay Given was fantastic, made a number of fantastic saves and his distribution is also better than that of Steve Harper, along with some quality saves Given also commanded his box well, coming and catching a number of crosses. Full-time diagnosis? I didn't expect anything from this game so very happy with a point, after they had scored it looked like they would go on and win it but we defended for our life and managed to hold on. Bramble and Moore were solid, Ramage was ok, better than what Babayaro would have offered in my opinion. Taylor, despite giving away a stupid foul which result in Henry bending it in the top corner had a solid enough game, he should play there in front of Stephen Carr every week until we can get a new right back. Overall delighted with a point and good to see us trying to play some football. Star man for United? The goal from Dyer was fantastic and he started brightly but Shay Given was our star man, kept us in the game with a number of great saves. Must also mention Bramble, who I thought had possibly his best game for us this season. Worst United player? Damien Duff, booked early on for a silly foul and just did very little. Are we ever going to see the Damien Duff who performed at Chelsea and Blackburn? Opposition comment? Arsenal tried to pass the ball into the net, they need to shoot more. I still believe they will finish in the top 4. Toon-pros? A good team performance, a good defensive display with good performances from Bramble and Moore, Parker got in some great blocks and Given was excellent on his return to the side. Nice to see us trying to play football again instead of lumping it long. Toon-cons? Damien Duff. Post-match feelings? Delighted with a point, if we play like this every week we will get out of this relegation scrap, but I'm not sure if we can play like this. This was Arsenal away and I'm sure it isn't that hard to get the players up for it as it would be for games against Portsmouth or Reading, we need 6 points from our next two league games or all the hard work from this display is undone and we are still fighting for our lives at the wrong end of the table. Nice to be out of the relegation zone but we need to build on this. Don't let this result distract you from the fact that we still need change at Newcastle United, from the boardroom down.

IT IS 6,000!!! No it is not. It is 3,000. Simon Bird got it wrong in his article in the Mirror.

The allocation today is 3,000.
