Tainio is injured. So says Martin Jol. Zokora's meant to be injured to but i have a feeling there both gonna be ok for the Chelsea game (zokora definatly). Not gonna say anything about Robbo's goal Wullie but what i will say is JJ is on fire ''Teemu Tainio has picked up a calf strain and will be out for a couple of weeks." No need for him to make it up tbh. You obviously dont know much about Jol when it comes to talking about injuries. Told us King will be out for a week because of a bruised foot. That was about 3 months ago. Also done it many other times. There is a difference between possibly deliberately underestimating an injury to your best player and making up an injury about a squad player. Why would he make up an injury to Tainio? If it was Berbatov, Lennon or King I can possibly understand perhaps trying to play mind games with Chelsea trying to make them think the said player won't be playing but Tainio? No. He is also one of the most injury prone players in your squad so I'm quite sure this is a genuine injury. If not, what do you make of your manager deliberately lying and misleading your supporters?

Innuendo much? Scored for Leeds against Swindon.

He's a capable coach, based on what? Based on the fact that we're hardly in a relegation dogfight. I'm not going to list the reasons why i think he's a decent coach and is possibly a decent enough manager, partially because i just don't know. I just don't feel that we need to go through a managerial change. Things take time, that's all. We're still in a transitional period. I'm happy to see him given the time to use the summer to do what he has to do. If he fucks up again, i'll be slating him bigtime, because we'll go nowhere. But things aren't crucially bad at the moment, and unless they are come a certain period of next season, i'd like to see him see out his contract. I don't see a clear and desperate need to sack him. You have your opinion and you have mine. The managerial criteria at newcastle these days is:if you keep us from relegation fight you are capable coach :uglystupid2: We've been pushing for Europe most of the season until now, tbh. Apart from after the first league game of the season our highest league position this season has been 9th.

Who wrote that, Sherlock Holmes? It's actually written by Phil McNulty, the chief football writer at BBC Sport. And it's f****** spot on, every single word.
-
They must have made some friends with some of our lot when we played them in the UEFA Cup. It's not rocket science.

liverpool actually, sorry. Always had time for newcastle though. Fantastic fans when you come to anfield and I always enjoy going to st.james' though not too friendly a spot where you put us! hope you have a good finish to the season. He is not saying you're a Villa fan, he is saying he is a Villa fan. Hence his username.

Done but a few comments. After Question 10 you should ask if you feel showing Saturday 3pm kicks off would have an impact on crowds at lower league clubs as that rule is as much to do with protecting attendances in the lower leagues as it as Premiership attendances. Q14 - It is not illegal to watch a stream. Q21 - There are other options than just Sky or equally shared. I feel not all games should be on Sky but that does not mean that each provider should get to screen an equal number of games.

Glenn said that? Yes. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/6449935.stm Roeder blames defence for defeat Roeder was not happy with the way his side performed Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder launched into an attack on his defenders after the club's Uefa Cup exit on away goals to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. The Magpies held a 4-2 first leg lead but saw that overturned all too easily as AZ Alkmaar won 2-0 in the return. "They are not good goals we conceded," he said. "Too often crosses come into our box, they are not defended properly and bad decisions are made. "I have to find defenders who are good enough to play in front of Shay Given." AZ Alkmaar took the lead when a low cross was not cut out by Steven Taylor and was converted by Shota Arveladze. Their second came when Danny Koevermans lost his marker Titus Bramble and nodded home. Roeder added: "Shay Given is a is a top drawer keeper but he does not get the protection he should get. He is exposed far too easily. We did not have enough players who came out and performed, which was a surprise and unexpected "Too many defenders make too many mistakes that cost us points. "They do well, you are happy with them and you think they have learnt. Then 'bang' they go and make the same mistake again and let you down." Roeder also believes too many of his players failed to turn up as they tamely surrendered to the dominant Dutch opponents. "We did not have enough players who came out and performed, which was a surprise and unexpected," he said. AZ Alkmaar coach Louis van Gaal changed his tactics after the first leg and praised the attitude of his side in completing the comeback. "I have to give my players a compliment for this massive performance," he said. "It is tough mentally when you are trailing 4-2, we have proved before we can do it." Van Gaal added: "In the first game, we left Nolberto Solano in a free role and he took advantage of that fact. "Tonight, we played with Julian Jenner and Maarten Martens in wide positions and therefore Scott Parker and Nicky Butt were swimming."

Don't think he will be offered a new contract. "They are not good goals we conceded," he said. "Too often crosses come into our box, they are not defended properly and bad decisions are made. "I have to find defenders who are good enough to play in front of Shay Given." "Shay Given is a is a top drawer keeper but he does not get the protection he should get. He is exposed far too easily. He needs a decent left back behind him, simple as that.
-
I did. I thought the difference in commentary from the pro-Spurs stuff last night was remarkable. And sickening. Agreed, the commentators seemed pleased when AZ got their first goal tonight. Compare that to the Spurs game last night, unbelievable.
-
Send him back to the Academy in the summer, got a proven foreign manager with an excellent track record in and sort this mess out. That is of course if anyone wants this fucking job.
-
Great block there from a cross from their left.
-
Means fuck all to be honest, you have not played a decent side yet.
-
Sounded like it had and it was just madness for about 25 minutes until the local constabulary restored order by hitting everyone in sight with a baton!
-
All kicked off in the main square, all going great till 30 mins ago... AZ Fans started throwing fireworks and flares at all the toon fans, next thing its all kicked off, bottles throwing about, chairs, etc coppers coming in riot gear and on horses just going for anyone to try and calm it all down. Just off the phone to a mate who is now trying to get a taxi to the ground.
-

I'm not Baggio but I'll answer your question anyway... Because he hasn't played enough games each season to do so due to injury and other factors. 125 Premier League goals in 227 appearances tells the story with an average of a goal every 1.8 games.
