  1. They really parked the bus that time his Liverpool side beat us 5-1 at SJP, though Rafa was in the Directors' Box with Sammy Lee on the touchline so maybe that was why they played like that.

He's only entitled to sit on his contract if he actually bothers to turn up to his place of work. Football is no different to any other job, if you don't turn up for long enough, your employer is entitled (though not obliged) to sack you. I think the player has been amazingly stupid here if he's just not bothered to turn up to work for long enough to get sacked. Well first of all football actually is very different to any other (normal) job Of course that's not to say that should a footballer behave badly or be in breach of contract he can't be sacked. No one will know the absolute details of what has occured but it does smack of the club needing him off the payroll by whatever means they thought they could get away with. I'm no employment lawyer, but the part of this where he was allegedly told to take a month out to find another club, failed to do so and returned to Sunderland for them to tell him he wasn't fit, won't take much for his representatives to find loopholes in. That what happened though is it? They gave him one month off and he came back two months later.
  3. For years, they are owned by Trinity Mirror and technically they are loss making as a local newspaper. Changed their name to Reach plc.
  4. Sadio Berahino has somehow managed to become a father three times in six weeks with three different women.
  5. They did fuck it up. Was off but got away with it.
  6. It would take a pretty much fundamental change in set up and approach from Rafa. And we just don't have the players for it.
  7. Looked like Ian W. Heard Ian W[/member] got chucked out by the stewarts so it could well have been him. If it wasn't him my money is on Stifleaay[/member]
  8. Like 4 posts up where Rafa says he’s not a number 10? Perez isn't a number 10 either, not does he play that role in the current setup. So its a moot point. Has Rafa said Perez isn't a number 10? Perez had a good run back end of last season been awful this season most of the time and Rafa has played players out of position too and have a look at the Perez thread for others thoughts on said subject I was sort of agreeing with you tbh. Just asking Greg whether Rafa's mentioned Perez not being a number 10, because if he's said that, there's no reason Muto can't replace Perez. Not that I'm aware of and I agree, I think Muto could do a job there. It's not a conventional playmaker number 10 in our set up (we can't afford one).

  10. Probably a better defender than Lejeune in fairness, just doesn’t have the distribution in his locker. When he returns, could be an idea to play Lejeune in front of the back 4 with Diame and push Shelvey further forward? No.
  11. Either you are blind or the people you associate with are all thick as fuck.
  12. We've done okay, clearly low on confidence and quality. Need to not fall to pieces in the second half.

Nah, he was trying to do it. Posted a few attempts but yes clearly assisted by the wind.

    On this day...

Yeah first home game. It was well over two weeks after he had been appointed. Remember the Chelsea game as he went and sat in the wrong dugout.

    The Magpie Group

It's too expensive. About £60,000 to manufacture and first deployment and then a fair few thousand per deployment.
