  2. It was in the Chronicle this morning "A whole host of names have been mentioned, some seriously and others merely in passing, including Chelsea forward Patrick Bamford and even Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair. Anderlecht’s 22-year-old Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong has been on Newcastle’s radar for a long while, as was 24-year-old Czech international Ladislav Krejci before his move to Bologna. Derby County’s Tom Ince is also a player United have long admired."
  3. Some Dennis Wise YouTube scouting has him playing on the right wing mostly for Liverpool but seemed to have played mostly on the left for Derby.
  4. It was started by a "journalist" on Twitter that has 54 followers...
  5. I expected Chalobah to have been linked with us at some point. Someone claimed on here I think that we were interested in some Chelsea youngsters. It's went all quiet on the Bamford talk too
  6. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/688204/Liverpool-news-Jordon-Ibe-stalls-Bournemouth-move-Newcastle-West-Brom-latest Jordon Ibe stalls on Bournemouth move: Liverpool winger waiting on West Brom and Newcastle
  7. The journo Alan Nixon is reporting that we have had a bid of 3.5 million rejected for Hanley
  8. Hanley whilst not a world beater has done a job in poor Scotland and Blackburn sides. Whilst he doesn't look amazing he does have some decent attributes for a centre half. Rafa over the years for me through his coaching and tactics has made some decent centre half pairings and he must see something in Hanley (if reports are true) that he can work with and improve. Much like Gayle at the other end of the pitch I guess. He's also shown this with Lascelles who is now the Golden child. I'm sure at the start of last season many on here didn't even rate him that highly. The season before, on loan at Forest, he couldn't even get a game each week. However in a Rafa team his game has come on massively, I expect the same if we get Hanley (or Caulker etc who is similar that he has the attributes but hasn't had the consistency etc).
  9. Assuming it's Yacob of West Brom they were talking about?

    Jesús Gámez

With all this talk of him often being used at left back. Could we still be interested in Arbeloa too? Would be good to have a couple of experienced players in the team.
  11. Won't be getting a testimonial any time soon [emoji23] Didn't realise he has only played 63 games at the highest level (not including internationals)...
  12. He better get another relegation clause in that Palace contract....
  13. And Scotland winger Ritchie, 26, is expected to join 25-year-old Gayle at St James' Park after the Championship title favourites met Bournemouth's £7.5m asking price. The express reporting only 7.5 million. I find that highly unlikely.
  14. Have been impressed with him in a poor Scotland team. Has scored 3 goals (and I think 2 assists) in 10 games.
  15. Not sure I believe it given its from the god awful HITC site. Has Bailey been reliable since joining them?

    Tamas Kadar

    http://www.clarets-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/kadar_on_the_radar_888833/index.shtml Linked with Burnley
  17. Linked with Dummett at the weekend and today sees him linked with Demba Ba, Tiote and Santon. Do they not have any scouts at Palace?
  18. I've read that Rafa likes his full backs key strength to be their defensive work but his past players like Risse and signings of Fabio Aurelio and Ghoulam suggest he likes his full backs to offer something in the final third. Unfortunately something Dummett isn't too comfortable with. If he sees Dummett as a centre half yes I would keep but as a left back I definitely think we need an upgrade.
  19. Whilst I feel Dummett will be good enough for us in the Championship, If teams are willing to pay the British premium price I would let him go on a minute. If we are serious about going straight back up I would rather Rafa was allowed to invest in a team that will be better suited to his style and capable of playing Premier League football next season.

  22. Daniel Agger out of contract with Fenerbahce linked. Still only 31, could Rafa bring him in? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Given how poor we are in centre midfield I would take a punt on James Morrison on a free for some more experience. If Hull don't win the play-offs I wouldn't be surprised to see us linked with Elmohamady given his name has been linked over the last 12 months and he will be on a free too. Dreading getting linked with Steven Fletcher

    Loïc Remy

Agreed Ba was the best striker I have seen since Shearer. To think with a little ambition and a better manager we could/should have had a forward line of Remy, Ba and Ben Arfa playing for us even now.
