Can you explain this? Why would you rather have McClaren than Tuchel, de Boer, Galtier? Think you read his post wrong.
-
I think his movement, finishing and short passing are quite good. He just lacks any sort of presence due to his tiny stature. That and he's green as fuck but I'm still happy for him to be given chances. He should really be out on loan though.
-
And then Jeff Stelling said something that made him go quiet with embarrassment.
-
Whoever gives him a two footed leg breaker will be a national hero/villain.

Dunno if that's part of the booing culture like. Our fans have booed James Milner for literally no reason whatsoever other than the fact that he no longer played for us, it's daft. Michael Owen etc, aye fair enough, but Milner whether you liked him or not always put in his all and was sometimes decent. Booing someone like that by default does my head in. They hated Sam Allardyce because of his ugly, long ball football, despite him being successful there. Stoke fans hate Pulis because of his ugly, long ball football, despite him being successful there. Fans just hate ugly, long ball football.

SBR was despised by the Barcelona fans and media despite ending up the European manager of the year and winning 3 trophies. Really? Didn't know that. Why? Deluded Catalans only like Catalans.
-
We also don't watch every team week in and week out. If fans hate a manger there's always a real reason there.
-
The best part is when he gives him the shirt

you're kidding right? you discount mcclaren like he's the worst thing in the world but 'dont know what to make of rosler'. based on what exactly? McClaren is not the worst thing in the world, just depressing reading how many people would be 'ok' with him coming here when clarifying it with 'I wouldn't want him'. Any way I haven't followed Rosler's career. Just read it on Wikipedia. Yeah no thanks.

Don't know what to make of Rosler really.

McClaren has a history of failure in his career and I don't want another manager like that. He has a league title under his belt So did Dalglish in a better league. At Middlesbrough he was hated by the fans Ran out of the England job failing to even qualify for Euro 2008 Failed at Wolfsburg Failed at Forest But aye he'll be fine here. I get what you are saying….but it's about the best of a bunch. Out of Sherwood, Carver, McCoist, etc….I'd have McCLaren. Sadly the likes of De Boer, Laudrup, even Tuchel are pie in the sky. IMO we'd be lucky to get McClaren. Sherwood is the best of that lot. He is a positive, attacking manager and he gained a very decent points total at Spurs. Certainly not an inspiring choice but he's also not got a proven record of failure in his career yet. eh? so you'd have sherwood over mccalren for his 5 months at spurs? Yes though I wouldn't be going near either. i dont think anybody would in an ideal world tbf. I'm still in the 'well im glad he's not pardew' phase, not sure it'll ever wear off tbh! I have my heart set on a foreign manager. There isn't a single English option that gets me excited and I don't do 'Well he's the least worst I guess'. I just can't, sorry. no need to apologise! who would you go for ? De Boer or Galtier preferably. Tuchel whilst exciting still seems pie in the sky to me. de boer would be everyone's choice i think (ignoring the fact that he's only done it in the dutch league, which seems ot be discounted for mccalren ). I'd say for me it's mostly McClaren's performance as England manager which really discounts him. That level of failure is crazy.

derby fans fucking love him. given he won twente their first ever title, i'd imagine he's liked there as well. Reading FCTwente.net forum it seems very mixed about him. Some love him some seem to hate him.
-
Aye but we know better than Boro fans, apparently.
-
mcclaren gave boro the greatest period in their history tbf. McCleish gave Birmingham their greatest period too. Sign him up. he didnt though, did he? he won the cup, granted, but im sure he relegated them too? hardly greatest ever period. mcclaren had boro in europe, twice (i think), he even got them to the final man. It's relative. Two shite clubs had a bit of success. Both shite managers who have failed most of their careers with the odd blip of success.
