  1. My "ffs" was in response to a pretty ridiculous comment-- it's gone now. Rather a ridiculous comment than a typically fatuous one from yourself. Doubt you understood it, tbh. When you understand values, standards and respect you'll get what I mean.
  2. Because despite the nonsense I'm reading in this thread I don't really want to get into an argument about it with certain people who think it's ok for others to do anything they like. I daresay the same people would get on the moral high horse about some issues.
  3. No, I didn't know. If I'd known I'd have made a subtle change to my post.....
  4. No disrespect to Derby, but I think this is a game we can win.
  5. Midfield so defensive...come on we are facing Derby not Barcelona I don't see it quite the same way you do. Zog will give loads of threat on the left, you don't need to play with 2 wide men, one is quite sufficient in my opinion. Not knowing much about Beye and Enrique I'm hopeful FS has signed fullbacks who can offer something going forward, as well. Faye and Butt. So f****** defensiv. No creation... I'm not going to argue too much 'cos I'll be wasting my time, so just this one post to explain my thoughts. I don't see this as a defensive team at all. Creativity starts at the back and is not limited to the centre of midfield. It's a team thing. I know we're used to seeing nowt when we had Parker in there so people will latch on to that area as being where it all happens but it's not. We've also had pretty gash fullbacks for quite some time now, no creativity at all. You can see the difference in the few games Zog has played at LB, much better down that flank. With CB's who can play the ball out and not hoof it like Bramble, with fullbacks who can get forward better than the likes of Carr and Babayaro, a quality wide man like Zog and good movement from Owen and Smith I think there is plenty of creativity in this team along with some solidity too.

  7. Given Beye Rozenhal Cacapa Enrique Geremi Faye Butt N'Zogbia Owen Smith
  8. . If you find some of their articles annoying or you dont like the way they premote stuff. Dont bother browsing NUFC.Com in future. Problem solved. If you find some posts on here annoying or you don't like the opinion of some people to stuff, don't bother browsing newcastle-online in future. Problem solved.
  9. Because they think they're more important than they really are? They're mongs, tbh.
  10. London - Orient Birmingham - Coleshill Town Liverpool - Wouldn't bother. Manchester - Bury Sheffield - Sheffield Wednesday Glasgow - Morton. It's near enough and they may not be religious freaks. Wild Card - Berwick
  11. Well why don't you start another pointless thread on this very issue, a poll for example - i'm sure i'll be able to handle the associated craic. Or perhaps, in a bid to appease yourself and others, i'll commence posting like a seven fingered mong from now on......... beginning now i'll do this for the remainder of the season. You well and truly set yourself up on this one, especially for those who were dismayed at the manner in which Clueless was ripping up our/your club with his self-protectant based decision making, while you were posting WUM-like threadstarters along the lines of "Bellamy..... he's history, get over it". Well said, that man.
  12. Ferdinand is definitely over-rated.
  13. I think exactly the same about signing Heskey as I did when I posted this early in 2006. http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=21891.msg406581#msg406581 He's a good player and has been for ages. I've never understood why he comes in for so much ridicule, it's like some kind of roller-coaster and once people start loads of mongs blindly join in. He was used out of position on the left for a long time, never his strongest role and I suspect that's where the abuse he gets all started.
  14. In my original reply I placed in bold the part of your post I was commenting on. There's nothing ambiguous about it but then you aren't very bright. I think you don't understand the meaning of "quip" either. Here's a link to help you.... http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/quip
  15. Prove me wrong if you want? Just can't be arsed to look it all up again. Eh? Paranoia gone mad? It was a general question that was prompted by your use of it for sure, but if I was questioning your comment I'd have quoted you directly. But since you mention it. As everyone who understands football knows, there is more to crossing than counting them, so you can stick your stats up your arse because they're worthless. FACT.
  16. Best place to watch, from the point of view of seeing the action best, is over the half way line mate. Not too high and not too low. Used to go there once, but now I'm in the middle of the Leazes End. Wouldn't really consider taking a child near the away supporters, even though its probably not so bad as it used to be. I took my daughter next to the away end when we played Charlton. Wouldn't do it again. Cockney wankers.
  17. I said: "Aye, they were the same competition and one that none of the big teams took seriously" Ambiguous - http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/ambiguous borne out by the list of winners which I posted. His source is the wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Members_Cup. If you take a look you'll get to read the full text to include the bit he missed out to fit his agenda.
  18. I doubt many think about you, despite the amusement value, especially of this thread .
  19. If someone adds "FACT" after a sentence does that make it true? I thought I'd ask, like. Might start using it myself.
  20. Some great posts in this thread. There is no point comparing Milner with Zog, they're different players and it's irrelevant. All that matters is whether or not a player is good enough in the context of our ambitions. Zog was crap last season so I won't get carried away with him this time around. I find it scary that people think Milner was our best player last season because it shows how crap we were, this being the opinion of some all I can say is that being our best player last time around doesn't make him good enough for what our ambitions ought to be. We have to improve across the entire squad and that is what FS has been trying to do. I don't think I'd shift Milner unless a stupid offer came in, every player has a price. How good he's going to be I don't know, but he is just about potential right now and I'm not sure that he's going to become a really top player, the lack of pace will ultimately hold him back unless he becomes really, really clever and I don't think he has the football brain for that. So, bottom line is I see him as someone who can be improved upon for sure but he's far from being crap. Any comparison with Parker in their respective positions and their influence on the team would be a nonsense if any have been made.
  21. you poor boy. FWIW, I stated my opinion, and would have left it at that. Its others who are obsessed, so read the thread again. read the history of your posts.. do you feel obliged to defend Shepherd every time somebody doubts him? all you do is scan the forum for some anti-Fred bullshit and the never ending argument continues.. It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who are capable of seeing only one side of something. Someone repeats themselves by making a point you agree with and you don't have a word to say. Someone repeats themselves by making a point you disagree with and you're spouting bile. Great stuff. As I've said before, the sensible and realistic among us, who understand that the previous Board wasn't perfect but was far from shit, don't go around starting threads or making random posts in praise of the Board to get these arguments going.
