  1. non-taken, just obvious I wouldn't know what the hell whoosh is so even the woosh has gone over your head?
  2. personally i'm somewhat unsure of the new "system" in place at the club, but i still support it as i see it moving us forward. sad as i was to see Keegan go, i think the media hype has blown the events of the last few days completely out of proportion. they enjoy depicting a disjointed and unhappy newcastle united and i hate that. all talk of boycotts and all that shit makes me cringe. imo we should turn out in full voice against Hull, 52,000 of us and show them what newcastle united is all about....the love of football, regardless of the shit we get put through as fans. if we boycott, then we're just as guilty as the football corporates of fucking up the beautiful game.
  3. I think there is way too much sentimentality and sensationalism going on here. of course, it's understandable, and who wouldn't have the time to think of what Kevin Keegan means to this club. But let's face it, I think we can all admit that we werent all that easy with KK's return as manager. We all felt overjoyed at seeing him come back, in those few photos published with Mort the night of the Stoke game. But we all had a gut feeling that this maybe wasn't the best thing for this club. We must keep the focus on NUFC as a whole, and those who play for the club, and just move on. Thats reality for ya
  4. get a fucking grip some of you lot. time to forget about Keegan, as much as we love him and think of the only thing that matters in all of this: Newcastle United. whoever comes in needs the full support of the fans, and let's not forget about the players. Only the lord knows how they must be feeling. We need to make sure they are up for this season. as for mike ashley, well he needs to get this appointment right, or else he will have to endure the wrath of a fervent Geordie public that's 10 times worse than it is currently. i'd take Poyet, Roberto Martinez, or any other forward thinking bloke who has a clue on how to get the best out of our players.
  5. We could go round in circles about this for ages, obviously we have different views about the merits of the new owner. But if you mean that Ashley doesn't have a clue what's going on, then you don't know that and neither does anyone else. Look. None of us are party to 'the facts' and in these situations we probably never will be. But I know what I see...I see a man who loves the club and even with mighty odds stacked against him has got an average side to play spells of good football (even a respectable draw at ManU)...I see a man who is clearly our key asset behaving like a person who clearly feels alienated and fed up with things around him. I'm so sorry to be boring, you don't 'see' it you percieve it and there is a difference. Most relationships break down when both parties are guilty of something. I sincerely hope the relationship between KK and Fat Ash can recover and blossom along with our results. However, there may be a better and alternate future out there, not necassarily disasterous just because KK isn't involved. You never know. that is of course true, but its very sad if Keegan comes a cropper just for caring about the club and genuinely wanting to be successful. Its like the player who reacts to a kick in the face with a punch in the nose and the other guy getting away with it. Nobody deserves to manage the club to a trophy and gatecrashing the top 4 again more than Keegan does. I don't think Ashley will learn - enough - from this episode to be the man to continue leading the clubs fortunes as owner. He will have to pull one hell of a rabbit out of the hat, and has lost a lot of trust from people who had trust in him. Personally, I never really had it, so it appears to me that we need someone else with more footballing understanding. What I mean is I always though this, but now it can't come quickly enough. I'm not very pleased as a person who paid 3 years season ticket money, and found that Keegans concurrent 3 years as manager has probably came to an end before it hardly started. But I would have paid the money anyway, it was too good a saving to turn down. Others however will feel differently about this. It makes me wonder if there was any intent about it, because we don't appear to have seen it ? We'll see what happens. the truest thing you've ever said
  6. dear lord the mongs on 5 Live!!!! "I say to Kevin, come back, get a consortium with Shearer, and buy the club"
  7. bloke on 5 Live talking to Mark Saggers saying we tried to do a part-exchange deal which would see Barton move to Blackburn with Warnock coming the other way
  8. not a single shadow of a rat's testicle hair follicle of doubt in my mind about what football team I support, now and forever
  9. just seen a clip of him on youtube. spanish commentators pronounced it CHisco
  10. I just get fed up with total randoms telling us how the forum should be ran when they hardly even use the f***ing place anyway. randoms eh? you some kind of soopaposter or something? plus if it weren't for random fans, it'd be you, dave and wullie chatting about Lost all day up in this place. have a word man!
  11. the sun, portsmouth, the club insider and joey barton can all fuck right off
  12. haha, some people never learn. I'm sure premiership quality footballlers will be playing in the sunday leagues tomorrow. We might find a quality centre forward playing for the Blue Star for a couple of quid. Go get 'em lads they're out there somewhere. I didn't realise that Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourhino had been getting it wrong by buying quality footballers all these years. Slap their wrists. Quite ironic that the 2 strikers most valuable to the club at the present time were "panic signings/trophy signings" bought by the previous regime, but I'll let you absorb that one. There's nowt wrong with trophy signings if they are added to a well balanced squad. Buying one superstar and not being able to strengthen the rest of the squad as a result is what people have usually not been happy about, although you probably already know this. don't be too sure. it's getting a little difficult to actually talk football with LM. only seems to roam around the topics that involve the board/chairman/ashley/shepherd
  13. Yeh he's a good player but was ridiculously eratic. The guy would constantly try these little flick and dummies, even though he was in his own area. KD we talked about this already (see above). You didn't say he was ridiculously bad then? Or he was terrible at left back specifically? tut tut tut ... I do agree though. He can be a bit too playful at the back, but he is a presence, and he does defend and attack well. His left foot is also very good. Behave KD. I know your poor start to the season has got you down, but don't take it out on us okay.
  14. fuck me! how much does Ben Tozer look like Peter Ramage??
  15. there's also a second lad in dreads? Kazenga? doesn't look too much like him! Frank Wiafe?
  16. whos the lad in dreads? is that Nile Ranger?
  17. correct. and tbh, i find singling him out in the thread title to be quite ridiculous. NE5, when in the mood, is quite a valuable poster on this forum, and if he weren't around there wouldn't be much banter and much to disagree about.
  18. doubt is a mind killer! let's not forget who the manager at the club is now fellas eh? if we can't trust Kevin fucking Keegan, then we're a lost cause. roll on Monday
  19. Great bit of business that whatever the price, and i'm sure it's well above the 4 or 5 million we paid to get him in the first place. Good luck wee jimmy. Great professional, average footballer. Now for some new signings of our own
