to be fair though, their keeper was on top form Still no excuses, even with 10 men we should of scored 73 goals, I suppose. Zoggy is past it anyways, and we were without Smith and Butt!!!!! Take them two out of Man U and watch them struggle!!

none so far i'd imagine. i'm sure he has ideas about the sort of player he wants to bring in without having fixed on particular individuals . for instance a ball playing centre half has been a common theme for him, Venison and Albert for newcastle, Coleman for fulham and Distin for city so i'd imagine he'll look for one with us too. or trying to detect similarities within the current squad to what he has overseen elsewhere, martins and andy cole stand out, two physically outstanding yet hugely raw talents, maybe he'll try and find a beardsley type to match him up with. i don't think we'll see any real action till the summer, mind. then again i could be wrong, maybe he's got an extensive dossier of talent from rio de janeiro to timbuktu and is simply waiting to snap the players up. also people seem to be doubting his ability to build a modern team who can cope with tactical shifts and innovations of the past few years, but he's only been out the game around the same time as hitzfeld was before he went back to bayern. defensively, man city had the third best defence in the league before keegan walked out in march 2005. the talk about the game being more athletic, keegan signed or oversaw players like Distin, Dunne, Van Buyten, James, Anelka, Wanchope, Tarnat, SWP, Marc Vivian Foe, all athletes either big or fast or both. he also had a fair few skilful ball-players, ali bernabia in particular looked magical at times tho his ability to spot that kind of talent isn't really in doubt. Not the way I see it. In my view, in that meeting he had with Ashley and Mort, I am positive that transfer moves for this window were discussed, with Mort probably letting KK know about bids being on standby for players recommended by our scouts and coaches. This is a professional football club, and if someone like me and you can think of these things, I'm sure those employed at the club will have plans in the works. Obviously they would only be recommendations, and KK would have to agree to bring them in. However what I'm saying is, for example, Mort would have enquired about Arteta, and been told by Moyes to not waste his time as he's not for sale. That way they would have had a head start. Say Moyes said, right you can have him for 15 million, KK would then have to decide if he was worth it, as part of his plans etc... Not sure I've explained myself properly, as I had to make this point before running out for work.

A mate of mine, Big Mike, runs an adoption agency. Maybe if you can't have kids the natural way, you could always adopt?? I don;t know if that's what you want, but it may take all the fun out of trying

Sorry I'm just not getting your point here? Ok then to put it another way, surely Clarke and Carver were the nearest you'd get to a number 2 then? Anyway, I'm not sure that their jobs as 'coaches' was as limited you describe. Also, Coleman, as manager, must be fully clued up about management and coaching I would have thought. You merely getting hung up on job titles chap. You on about Steve Clarke or Lee Clark?
-
Thank fuck for that! Experience in the lower leagues is vital for him at the moment, and not a job back here where he can rest on his laurels being a Geordie anarl
-
I'd have Coleman as assistant that's for sure. If he can learn the workings of this place under Keegan, then he would become one of my candidates to succeed him. Coleman's a B.Y.T.
-
Ok. Question is, will you get behind the man regardless?

I thought you were a lass!

Must say, when he quit the club first time round, I cried bitter tears. Maybe now I can finally forgive him.
-
I have to say, so am I....and I dont know why!!! My head is saying no! But my heart is overcome with joy!

Isn't the match abandoned at that point?

Full week now isn't it? I know were all supposed to be impatient cockends etc...but i think a wasted week in the transfer window is a serious offence by the board. Get someone in man FFS. For crying out loud mate!! Sure, it would be nice to have had someone in place who will have enough time to spend some money on new players. But is that more important at this minute than finding the right man for the job? If the board rushed an appointment just to catch the bloody window, fans will piss and moan that they rushed and got the wrong man. Damned if they do, damned if they don't! Get a grip...sort of

Alan Shearer is a great personality even when he does nowt. He's one of those people who has a massive aura around them regardless. He's the kind of person who would have stood out in any line of work had he not been a pro athlete. I think it's something he was born with. Shearer simply IS the way he is. Dont think it has anything to do with arrogance, or him being a cunt, or a nice fella. -
