  1. No it's not buying for buying's sake man. Who do you suggest we spend our £3m on? I suggest we add another £2m to it and make an offer for Kranjcar CB is arguably our strongest position. We are desperate for depth in other areas of the squad
  2. Opinions, I guess will always differ. I thought he was superb yesterday, worked like a horse and was very clever for our goal. The two clear chances he had should have hit the target but in fairness he didn't do a lot wrong as both scraped the woodwork. Poor Shola - runs himself into the ground for the team but gets remembered for the things he did wrong rather that the vast majority he did excellently. I agree to an extent because he does do a lot of very good work but I think the reason he gets criticised so much is because he often does all the hard work before dropping a bollock, which makes it doubley frustrating. He gets you on the edge of your seat and then does something so poor that you just end up getting really pissed off. Some of his second touches are school-boy level and most of his misses are criminal and come at crucial points in the game. But he does set up goals for other players, holds the ball up well and bags a few as well. If only he could cut out all of the shit he would be one of the league's better strikers.
  3. Seriously? It's not just once or twice, it's every time he mentions him.
  4. I really wish the tit on Real Radio would stop calling him Luis Enrique. Fucking pleb, just read the fucking teamsheet!
  5. Is there a professional footballer with a worst touch than Shola?

    Sebastian Larsson

Great, what's the fucking idiot going to do now?

    Sebastian Larsson

I hope the club tell every player who signs that they're not a guaranteed starter. It's up to the players to show why they deserve to be in the team. Telling someone they're guaranteed to start every game will only lead to problems - laziness, complacency, arrogance

    Harry Redknapp

He's got experience and commitment, y'know. Yeah, and a face like a pork scratching!
  9. Hatem Ben Arfa ............hold on a minute!
  10. Carlton Cole can get fucked! He's just Shola Abeobi mark 2 I'd take Behrami from West Ham if we could get him. He can cover right back and right wing, he's quick and he scores goals.
  11. Maybe we're getting Larsson and they're getting Bentley to replace him.
  12. Villa are playing OK so I reckon Houllier will get a few more games Hodgson will get a couple more as well IMO It's between Ancelotti and Grant for me I could see West Ham sacking Grant and replacing him with Hughton, and Chelsea replacing Ancelotti with Jol
  13. Can't think of an English midfielder playing better than him at the moment
  14. I'm not one to blow my own trumpet but I did suggest Peter Taylor as assistant manager shortly after Calderwood left. He's supposed to be a fantastic coach.
  15. Ivan De la Pena is his early days Pep Guardiola Tony Yeboah when he at Leeds Predrag Mijatovic
  16. Anatoliy Tymoshchuk - doesn't get anywhere near enough plaudits for my liking. Every time I've seen him play he just looks like everything you want a defensive midfielder to be. Sadly for him, he's another footballer who looks like a lesbian. Keith Gillespie - he was just the right man in the right team at the right time. Loved watching him play!
  17. I'm not saying they're on a par but you can hardly claim that Campbell has been decent this season. He also doesn't fall into the category of a lower league player or a hungry youngster does he? It was just an example Ronaldo, don't get your thong in a twist
  18. It depends what kind of backup players we go for. There are 3 main types: The first type is players like R Taylor, Alan Smith, Sol Campbell - experienced but sub-standard players who are content warming the bench at a big club - Bad The second type is hungry, unproven youngsters who are happy enough warming the bench for now and getting a little bit of game-time at a big club - Good The third is players from lower leagues who are deemed good enough to make the step up but may need some time to adjust - Hit and miss Pardew has knowledge of the lower league and Ashley loves youngsters and has an eye for a bargain so my guess is that we'll be looking for type 2 and type 3 players, in which case i'd be fairly happy.

    Alan Pardew

The most encouraging thing for me is the way the players are talking about him. They seem to like him and are enjoying training, and that is by far the most important thing. As a person he seems alright and I don't resent him for taking the job but I still miss wor Chris.
  20. They'll have no choice soon. The FA are implementing a policy in the next couple of years whereby a club's wage bill cannot be more than a specified percentage of their turnover It's about 10 years too late unfortunately but I imagine a lot of clubs have this in mind with regard to their cost cutting
  21. Who won this series? I watched them all except the final and I can't find it repeated anywhere. There were some right wankers on it this year, particularly that ball juggling prick
  22. I never get why a team would sell a player because they deem him not good enough, but then block moves to rivals. If he's not good enough for you then you should be trying to sell him to your rivals, surely?
