Oh yeah me an aarl but the ones people buy the instant the official shirt come out can be a bit hit and miss. Usually a month or two later the quality goes up. I just want to see what the ones right off the bat are like.

I must be so out of touch but I won't even touch any of this gear including the kit at these prices. I am surprised that people will pay it. Especially in the North East. Is there not an argument that if they charge say half the price from the get go they would make more money through increased sales? Fucked if I naar, I'm probably being too simplistic but I just can't justify the outlay.

We have to stop thinking of the North East as some barren wasteland. It's been beaten into us for years that we have started to believe it. We wouldn't even make the list of top 100 hell holes. A place is what you make it.

Yes! Back onto the truck craic! I haven't been round the top of the Millburn/ Leazes corner for ages so I cant remember how big it is where the gates are but I reckon there's a possibility I could get an artic through there and onto the pitch. Could be wrong though!

On the subject of classic truck routes across Newcastle. My favourite is to come through Byker on the 193, skirting the Byker Wall down past the KFC. Then fly over the Ouseburn while you try to catch a glimpse of a metty on the bridge. Push on down to Manors station while you mourn the loss of the old Warner Bros cinema. Then it's briefly onto the central motorway for seconds before coming back off at the Swan House to marvel at the brutalist architecture. Take it steady down Mosely street and up towards the Cathedral. You'll need to split the lanes to get round the lights opposite the Subway. Right In front of you is the High Level bridge, you can't go over that! you will have to turn right but the council has put cycle lanes in there the bastards, you will never get round, but you do. Then crack on along Neville Street past the gorgeous Central Station and down to the set of lights. Be sure to wave at the happy folk in the Powerhouse before you turn right up the Boulevard toward SJP.
