Yeah fair enough they've won a few trophies and in the last 5 or 6 years they've been brilliant and a joy to watch. When discussing big clubs it is something which other fans can rightly always point at us as we've won fuck all domestically since the 50s. I certainly don't feel deluded about the fact I think we're a bigger club than Leicester still. They were in League One about 10 year ago and they've spent more time in the 2nd division throughout their history then in the top league and have only ever finished in the top five 6 times in their history whereas we've finished in the top five 26 times. I would say in terms of appeal for players they were more attractive but that was due to both clubs owners. A player would prefer Newcastle now imo. It was more the fact their fans were calling us a step-down for Maddison and other crap about us being a shit team etc. I'd still probably really like them if I'd never lurked on there

Never minded Leicester until I went for a browse on their foxesforum when we bid for Maddison. The amount of posters having the cheek to call us a smaller club, ridiculing our bid and basically just being extremely derogatory towards us was infuriating. 8/10 The fact Longstaff started and Chris Wood and Jacob Murphy were our options coming off the bench yesterday means the squad depth should have been improved.
