Aye, just a bit. That was 94/95 or 95/96 I think. Your thinking of the one he scored for QPR, I think.

Good shout.

Another one - Our most overrated player of the last decade......

Dont understand Parker being mentioned as overrated, tbh. Was actually a decent player with us, but like firetotheworks said, he had to do everything in the middle. -

We looked a half decent side when Dyer was in it. Shame he was a proper kernt and ruined his time up here by constantly being in the headlines. -
Looks like he will be staying with them, considering Pompeys finances and Ashleys reluctant to spend any money on us.

Signed for Burnley, not sure if its a loan or permanent, though.

Boyd for me. From what ive heard about Beckford he sounds like another Dyer, with his attitude ect.

Portsmouth FC in yet more trouble - administration again?

This 'fit and proper persons test' that the FA have in place seems like a total joke, 2 owners down at Pompey and they have both been broke. -
Cant see them being able to afford them both, tbh.

Elliotts chicken celebration when he scored at home vs Citeh.

Arsene proposes kick ins instead of throw ins

Arsenal dont have someone who can chuck a ball in like Delap so nobody else can have one? -
Right, for those having a go at Harper's position: Harper has to jump almost from standing due to where the cross is looping in from and proximity to the goal line, Varney has had a run from the 18 yard line to build speed to make his jump. For those saying it wasn't a foul; please explain from the stills why Harper fails to keep hold of the ball. Your answer will involve Varney dragging Harper's arm away from the ball. Ban anyone still saying it wasn't a foul, call the authorities and get them Sectioned. Wasnt a foul, btw.

To be fair to Hughton, he got most of his subs this season spot on. Yes, sometimes they were too late to make an impact, but as I said most of the time he got them right. He has rarely made a decision dependent on how the game is shaping, he has done it to time. For example, we were defending a 1-0 lead somewhere this season with 5 minutes to go, and he put a third striker on the pitch - I mean wtf?! It was Sheffield United away wasn't it where he brought on Ranger for Simpson and Harewood late on to hold onto a 1-0 lead. I can see where you're coming from with that! But it has worked against them, hasn't it? I think considering that on our bench were: Krul, Guthrie, Geremi, Tozer and Donaldson, who would you have picked to defend? I think to pick a striker for defence isn't the worst idea as in that case, Harewood and Ranger both are physicaly stronger than for example Guthrie and in Harewoods case also more experienced than anyone on the bench besides Geremi. And if I remember correctly they both did well at defending set pieces. Agreed. Ranger did well defending set pieces along with Carroll but if I remember correctly Harewood was shifted out wide right and all he seemed to do was nothing FYP. -
'Your grounds too big for you' 'Here there everyfuckingwhere empty seats' 'Geordie boot boys' and the truly appalling 'your support is f***ing s***' rang out over and over again yesterday to earn us absolutely no respect or admiration from our hosts in sheffield which is truly a shame as the turn out was impressive in numbers and colourful with all the hilarious fancy dress etc. If only the mood could be as humorous to match it would make the day so much better. They probably didnt even notice it, tbh. They were far more interested in fighting between themselves, must have been about 4 scuffles which ended in afew people getting chucked out in the stand on the touchline to the left! The young toon lads that got in that stand caused a right carry on aswel and ended up with about 20 stewards and police men around them! Highlight of the match was watching some steward pushing a police man then going mental at some other stewards during the 2nd half, yes, the 2nd half was that bad!! think they were taken out for their own safety rather than carrying on themselves. Yes they were waving at us lot in the West Stand, but it began to look obvious that if we scored, they'd go mental and the home fans would snap and go for them. Were they brought into our end or were they just chucked out? I thought they were Wednesday fans at first coming down to have a shout! Sure they got kicked out, didnt see them after in our end.
