Tbh I'm now of the opinion that we need people like Gayle from this perspective. He's one of the few players that argues with the ref, too. For years now, I swear we've had the calmest team in the league as far as putting pressure on a referee. The useless fuckers are too dumb to do the job properly of their own accord, you need to put that pressure on them. All for putting pressure on officials, but not interested in blatant cheats in the team I support. Not seen the incident today, but Gayle's reputation might have cost us a real penalty from reading through the match thread.

It's abused way too much. Most keepers take the absolute piss when their team is in the lead, but then why not, given that it's never really enforced. There should be some leeway, sure, for keepers when they are crowded. But you often see keepers hold on for 15-20 seconds.
