Is he good enough to start if required? I know he's young and needs time to adjust etc but is he good enough to be starting games if Wilson pulls up in October or whatever?
-
Never seen him play but I'm hugely encouraged by the fact Dortmund want him too. That alone is a big positive for me, just have to wait and see if they can get it done, no stress here.
-
Is he asthmatic yet though? Little boost just around the corner?
-
Not fussed at all on Ake for that money. I'm not even sure he's better than Schar or Burn tbh. He's not shit obviously, that's not what I'm saying but I don't see how he'd improve us more than slightly for a massive wedge of cash. We can, and hopefully will, sign someone much better for around the same fee.

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to play Atletico Madrid in Sela Cup

It's their attempt to stop 'smaller clubs' from financing themselves to the extent they become a threat to the largest 6 clubs in the League. It's the leash that's been placed around the neck of any ambitious club that threatens the hegemony of the so-called top 6 and it's utter pigshit. Money wins. Money fucking wins, it always has and it always will. I don't particularly like it, but it's a fact. Money = power and it'll win out. We'll benefit in due time.

I've maintained this all along, the phrase "fair value" is so ambiguous that any legal challenge to it would create an immediate backdown from the PL. Who decides what fair value means? Who decides the value of fair value? Is it applied consistently? What about deals that were signed before 'fair value' rules were introduced? are just 4 questions that I think the PL would have massive issues in answering in a court of law. They may have the answers but given how they performed when Di Marco et al showed them up I genuinely doubt it. I'll say it again, sign the deals, get the cash, spend the cash and argue about it later. Fuck all will happen. You think Everton are going to be challenged about their breach of FFP? Of course not.

3 hours 15?? I'm not watching all that

Excellent news by all accounts this. Club finally getting it's shit together off the pitch, fingers crossed he comes in and we start to see the first benefits of it soon. Revamp the whole thing and bring in quality in each department
-
I don't think there's any massive rush to get certain players in, each window needs to give us 3/4 quality players to improve the team gradually. If it takes 3 more windows then fine, if it takes 4 or 5 then that's fine too. I just want them to build something that lasts and I'm more than happy to wait, the impatience of some (not really on here) is starting to irritate. If they've added quality in 3 or 4 positions then I'll be delighted. Who those players are and how much it's cost to get them in is fairly irrelevant. If the deal is there for one player but not the other then so be it. I'm just sitting back and enjoying it unfold this summer, no pressure, no fretting, they'll do everything they can

They were a couple of penalties away from winning nothing. Its a very fine line

Yeah but it's his last game and it would have been a real shame if they embarrassed him and overturned it, bless him.

3 finals and zero goals from Liverpool this season...
-
It's the right decision according to the rules but goals like that should stand. Can't see what offence Real have made in that situation, Real fucked up the clearance and Benzema finished it. It should have been awarded imo but they have to follow the rules as they're currently written
-
Liverpool player played it last but it was deemed as a deflection and therefore Benzema was offside. Absolute pigshit rule imo but it's chalked off correctly. According to the rules
-
Absolutely no gaps between each block of Liverpool fans in the top 2 tiers. Just 2 continuous ribbons of shite.
-
They definitely rushed the barriers in Athens, possibly Istanbul too?
-
Not particularly bothered who wins, I dislike both of them so I can neither win nor lose. I do hope they both have a real go at each other and it's open and exciting, plenty of drama and goals please

Season kicks off in just 10 weeks. Not much time to assemble our title winning squad #dithered #getonwithit

Can't see anything wrong with admitting that other clubs have bought well and improved, we don't have a monopoly on ambition. We have to remember that continual improvement and investment is normal, the fact we've been shorn of that for so long recently doesn't mean others haven't. They'll sign good players, but we'll sign good players too. I trust them to get it right more often than not and I'm only really concerned with who we buy. Doesn't mean I'm not going to acknowledge other clubs signing quality, it's perfectly healthy

Coutinho, Kamara and Carlos is an excellent start to the window by Villa imo.
