Klopp has lead the 2nd best squad to second place in the league, it's still pretty good obviously but if you're talking about the best performance of a manager in the League then it's got to be between Pep (won with the best team), Frank (excelled with a promoted team) and Howe (inherited an utter shitshow and got it producing European form within 6 months). I'm going Howe, but I'm obviously biased, Frank would be my choice after that. Klopp has clearly done superb to win 2/3 Cups but it's PL Manager of the Year. In the PL he's punched his weight, others have outperformed him.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

Carlsberg. Bruce. Elite athletes. The 'races'. "Howling with laughter" Can't even begin to describe how much hatred I've got for this cunt and the people who he chooses to surround himself with. Just the utter dregs of humanity. I've scraped better from the sole of my shoes. I rate bacteria higher than this fucking wanker. -
Loophole City here Can literally do what the fuck they want and talk their way out of it in court, should it ever get that far. They've set the bar, we just need to ignore all of the FFP rules and argue about it later if we're pulled. Sign the deals, sign the players and litigate the absolute fuck of things if need be. If rules can be completely ignore to this extent then they're not worth a fuck in the first place, they're either important or they're not. Other clubs are bypassing them and so should we, fuck it.

Similar here Not quite sure why they've had such (relatively) shit times for so long, surely the size of them they should be a Bundesliga mainstay? Trying to think of the English equivalent of Hamburg now. Maybe a much bigger version of Forest?

Bundesliga playoff game bubbling nicely atm. Currently 1-1 on aggregate and a few nerves and tackles starting to kick in.
-
Yeah, I'd go along with that

Could well be misremembering this here but did anyone go on like this lot when we bounced back at the first attempt the last 2 times? They've got promoted and fair enough, it's a bit of a big deal, but my overriding memory was one of subdued relief that we managed to win the league straight away. No cheering, no fanfare or fuss, no bragging, didn't even get a mention on SM, just relief we got straight back up and that was it. Stuff I've seen this weekend has been ridiculous, absolutely full of themselves that they've managed to squeeze their way out of Division 3. Massively disproportionate imo but each to their own.

Had a little snoop around and I'm £180 up since the start of the season using sky and PP. Not huge obviously but I only ever bet small amounts anyway. I'll take that all day long.

44 points from 27 games works out at 62 points over the course of a full season. Man U got 58 this year and qualified for the Europa League. The football we've played under him has gone from one of the poorest in the League to genuine European form and he's also played City and Liverpool twice in that run too. From inheriting a shambles of a squad both on and off the park to punching our weight with the best in the division since he was appointed is phenomenal. Hasn't won anything but I can't see a manager who's performed better than he has given what he walked into.

Momentum is a big thing for lower league sides when they get promoted to the Championship, they finished the season well and could easily finish mid-table. Maybe, with a large investment in the squad, they could get another promotion within 5 years. I think that's honestly as good as they can hope for - PL by about 2028ish

They were always coming back up sooner or later, it's their day today. Pretty embarrassing it's taken 4 attempts to do it but they ended the season strongly and basically romped through the playoffs. Be interesting to see how they cope next year.

Still very much in favour of doing what the fuck we like in the market and arguing about it in court at a much later date. If there's been any inconsistencies in the application of FFP rules then we can argue that in our favour. There's also the 'market value' bullshit that I'd assume is a legal minefield. I get the impression that even if the regulations have clearly been broken then you can mitigate things and force a compromise sanction of some kind that's not too hefty. Fucking do it man, they're toothless. They've got the chance to throw the book at Everton and it's simply not happening, nor will it. Fuck it, it's a paper tiger.

'Slosher' has to be one of Bob Mortimer's mates.

Fucking villa. Had to go and spoil things

Isn't Henderson supposed to be arrogant as fuck? Maybe not to the levels of Bendtner but not far off?

If he's going with a definite back 4 and a single striker then it's difficult to imagine Wilson being 'the one'. We could upgrade all positions tbh and it'll be a case of who's available and adding 4 quality players to the first team depending on availability and price. Having that 5 in between the back 4 and the single striker gives Howe loads of options - 2 holding and 3 supporting, 3 central and 2 very wide, another bank of 4 with a 10 etc. Just can't see Howe building it all around Wilson. He'll be first off the bench in at least 25 games imo.

One of my first proper memories of watching football was watching the Heysel disaster in 85 unfold live, they barely cut away from the stadium. Half bricks bouncing off Italian heads, hoards of fans running rampage across the terracing, walls collapsing, absolute carnage, they showed the lot. I was 9 and went to school the next day utterly baffled

No way McGranda saves more than 1 here like

And then Arteta climbed into the stand, shook his hand and told him that he'd never heard support like it and wished him luck for the rest of the season.

To everyone apart from the person who still values the original. Totally agree
-
Absolutely, I get that. It's pixel perfect and there's no distinguishing between original and copy to the layman as they're identical. The only person who gives it worth/value is the person who bought the first one but it's only worth something to them from a personal point of view. I get the concept and I'll let people just get on with it tbh. I'll never need to worry about it

Watching the video of the lap of honour its plain to see how much the owners love the guy. Absolutely no way they're replacing him after the run of form we've had, it's complete fantasy. Total non-starter.
-
Watched the video and get the point the lass was making. The whole point was owning the original (Warhol drawing) had some kind of credence despite hundreds of other identical copies being made. The owner of the original knows they have the first one and that's worth something to them. I understand it but I can safely say I'll not be getting involved with any of it whatsoever Each to their own though, sure some are bang into it and will make, or lose, a relative fortune when they start getting traded.

Tonight was the night he truly won me over. I've always liked him and respected him but held him at arm's length but tonight was the cherry on top of the cake, he's done it for me tonight. I had reservations when he was appointed, mainly over the defensive side of his teams, but we've been fairly good most games but I still wanted that connection between me and him via his interviews. I got that tonight. I'm 100% behind him, he's my man.
