  1. Would love Costa to score at that end....
  2. Some see fans continuing to pump hundreds/thousands of pounds a year into the club as being a tacit endorsement of the way the club is being run. The club has proved that they can pretty much do what they want, treat the fans with both contempt and disdain in equal measure and the punters still keep coming back. Coming back for more, year after year, encourages them to continue running the club in this manner because there's no consequence, the fanbase are a living, breathing human punchbag and they'll continue to smash the shit out of it. And they're having their pockets lined for the privilege. I can understand the social side of things being an attraction but there comes a time when a line in the sand needs to be drawn and people need to vote with their feet if they want things to change. Keep on doing what you've always done and you'll keep on getting what you've always got.
  3. M'Biwa's best run of form was when he played with Williamson about 15-16 months ago. Unfortunately as soon as Coloccini was fit again he was straight back into the team and M'biwa never got another real chance/run in the side. That was the death knell of his time here and he was never going to be used properly by Pardew after that.
  4. Just enough to receive no retroactive punishment because Chelsea/Mourinho. Proving he actually intended to stamp would be very difficult imo. Thinking he has and proving he has are a very different kettle of fish.
  5. I think he's meant both of those stamps but he's done a very 'good' job of making both of them appear to be slightly accidental. Not sure if 'good' is the right word.
  6. "astounded" and "delighted".
  7. I'd agree with that if they weren't playing a pack of despicable cunts.
  8. I know which name would be on the teamsheet first.
  9. Like a new signing. Timing couldn't be better with Sissoko moving on too.
  10. ...and I'll have no axe to grind if he does decide to move on. He's got his career to think about and wanting to achieve things before he hangs up his boots is natural and understandable. Him showing a bit of ambition at this point in time contrasts perfectly with our latest managerial appointment and magnifies the differences in ambition and goals. He's not the weird one for having ambition, we're the freaks for actively wanting to stand stock still.

My own theory, probably shared by many others, is that they've sounded a few people out and got a positive response from them indicating they're interested. They've followed it up by discussing the role they see for the new head coach and they've all run a mile leaving them with no choice but to pretend they're 'waiting' until Summer to buy a bit more time. Give it to Carver and cross their fingers he doesn't relegate the club until them come up with someone spineless enough to become a patsy and if they still can't find anyone then Carver will get the gig permanently.

If that's the case (and it was widely reported in France that Garde wanted it) then get their name on a fucking contract. Exactly. If Garde or another candidate can't take over until the summer then fair enough, get a contract signed for him to start on 1st June and appoint Carver until then. It's not what I'd prefer but it would be better than this. Using the "wait til the summer" excuse would be passable if they'd actually tied someone down officially. It's a fucking pisstake.

Course it has. Feet up, job done, just coast through the season and continue to get away with substandard performances for the rest of the season. go through the motions picking u the odd win here and there perhaps, finish 16th then jet off to spend the money they're stealing from the club. The fucking cretins.

"The results aren't the problem, we're starting to play well." "Newcastle need stability so, yeah, let's keep John" Un-fucking-believable.

He's got the job purely because he was born in the right city - that's it. There's absolutely nothing else on his CV to suggest he's remotely even worth a shot at a PL job. He's managed briefly at lower level and largely done a shit job. Hope he gets hounded out, the fat prick.

We've already dropped 2 places down the league since this prick's been in charge which means he's already cost us £2.4m in prize money. Once Palace pass us next month the Pardew compo will have 'vanished'. Lush.

Just checked the odds and we're as big as 33/1 to go down. Personally I don't think we'll go down at this stage but that's exceptional odds because we will be dragged into the bottom 6. If we go into a proper tailspin then I wouldn't rule it out totally.

There's only so many times you can use the words 'disgraceful', 'embarrassing' and 'pitiful' before they lose some if their impact. These cunts make so many poor decisions that the outright condemnation today doesn't seem to mean as much any more. Decisions like this one should be fucking pilloried by every single fan but we're so used to slamming the gormless cunts that another slap in the face barely registers any more. Anyone who renews for next season needs their heads checking. Paying hundreds of pounds a year to be treated with staggering contempt. They're laughing at you. And you're paying them to do it.
