That's far too easy. Sound like a broken record but we're not even making them work for it, it's a nice finish but he had the time to pick his spot and pass it into the net. Soft as fuck man.

UNITED IMPOSE MARTIAL LAW! BOSH.

20-20? Can't see it.

Wouldn't describe it as a 'love-in' at all. More a case of preferring one over the other if we change formation a bit. Anita is far from perfect but he offers more in that role than Colback, Tiote appears to be 3rd choice at best.

'Got no reason to moan', 'could be worse', 'what more do you expect?' oh, and, the classic 'be careful what you wish for' etc. May as well use them all up in one post. Have I missed any?

If there is a worse player in the league than Mike Williamson I've yet to see him. He has no ability on the ball at all, he's slow, dim-witted and absolutely tragic in possession. He's an utter holocaust of a footballer.

I'd be interested to see how 'traditional' the next Newastle shirt is in light of these new designs. We've had about 5 or 6 absolutely awful shirts that somehow compromise the clean black and white stripe shirt with zany gimmicks like spikes, diagonal blue stripes on the black stripes, black napkins. Now there's an alternative then it may force the cunts to up their game and produce a decent shirt.

Chances of Berahino being fit on 5th December and 23rd April? Anyone?

You mean the biggest clubs on the planet have managed to reverse time?

Can just imagine them playing chicken over their fax machines - "you first", "No, you first". "Our electric has gone off, you first"

They'll buy their way out of that shit.

Dead easy to say 'no'. If there's any truth to it then you say 'no' until the window shuts, it's really, really simple to do.

Sure he's been in the crowd watching.

Why absolve Fergie when he's to blame? Their transfer activity in Fergie's last few years was shocking and is half the reason they're needing to make such desperate signings now. He thought a core of Jones, Smalling, Cleverley, Zaha, Welbeck etc was going to be the future. Senile old cunt. There were obvious signings that had to be made when Moyes came in and they didn't get any of them. The Woodword guy is terrible. They've gone from Carrick/Cleverley/Anderson/Fletcher to Schneiderlin/Schweinsteiger/Carrick/Herrera/Blind in midfield. Its an improvement, despite the slapdash and desperate nature of trying to get there. The level of neglect of key areas of the pitch by Fergie was so bad that part of me thinks he did it on purpose to make himself look good. I mean did nobody at Man Utd stop to tell Fergie that Ferdinand/Vidic/Evra/Scholes/Giggs would all need replacing and signing Zaha, Nick Powell, Phil Jones etc was hardly the best way of going about doing it. Yeah Fergie really had to make himself look good. That's a ridiculous thing to say! He certainly could have left them with better players but it was the end of that definitive manu team with so many players coming to the end. There were obvious holes to fill that weren't addressed when he left and the desperate spunking of money is not looking like it's building a very great team. Well I'm finding it very hard to work out why he made such a fucking shambles of his last ~4 years in the transfer window. If it wasn't a deliberate ploy it was was fuckawful management. He left them with an entire generation of players heading towards the end of their careers (Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Scholes, Giggs, Carrick, Fletcher, Rooney) and replaced them with a supposed future nucleus of Jones, Smalling, Rafael, Evans, Cleverley, Zaha, Welbeck, Hernandez etc. Literally the only one he got right was De Gea replacing VdS. He even let Pogba go on a free instead deciding to give Cleverley a long term deal FFS. Then to top it all off he handed the gig of the self proclaimed biggest club in the world to David fucking Moyes. The reason they're now desperately needing to throw 30 and 40 million around at the likes of Di Maria, Depay, Mata etc is because they need genuine quality. It was a very poorly handed transition and Fergie is the man to blame, regardless of what a great manager he was. Team that won the title 2 years ago:

On the other hand, strikers are the most expensive players so if he can get 2 more years out of him, maybe give him another year after that, he doesn't have to spend £8-12m or whatever for a few years yet. By which time someone like Armstrong might have replaced him for free anyway. Absolutely. Just saying that if it comes down to brass tacks and they can move him on then I think they'll probably go for it and see what happens - make do, wait for Armstrong, look for a bargain etc
-
He's 30 and he's got 2 years left. If he doesn't go this summer then we run the risk of getting nothing for him and I can't see Ashley going for that.

He needs a season, if there are signs of improvement (and I can see them already) then he deserves even longer. I want this to work and I'm more than willing to give him the time to put it right. He's got a free pass 'til Easter a least. Think we need to be seeing some signs of improvement before we get to 19 games of the season gone myself personally. Already have. There's a noticeable difference and I hope it will be clear come Feb/March. If not then I'll be pretty pissed. i think they've been working on not conceding as a team but it's also at the expense of being able to worry the other team atm as well keep on working on that through the next two games, try not to get obliterated by citeh and chelsea and then he really has to start opening things up like After 8 games we'll have played 6 of the top 8 sides last season, that's a bit rough. It'll even out obviously but he'll get time from me, early results aren't great but he could do with a win or 2. We've won 2 games of football since the 31st of Jan. It's baby steps.

Rooney started his career early at the age of 16. He's played nearly 700 games for club and country and he's been phenomenal at times, he's a excellent player and he'll retire as England's most prolific striker. Fact remains that 700 games is pretty much a career, he started young and he'll end young. He'll drag it out for a bit longer, perhaps another 2 or 3 seasons or so but he's in the November of his career. The chill is approaching. He can't halt nature.

Lot of money for a player who doesn't want to be there. It's the last resort for him.
