He sort of backtracked in the SSN interview so that may just save him....... Nah. He's gone imo.
-
Said it before but the Championship is going to be ridiculous to get out of next year. So many good/decent teams in there in with a chance of promotion.
-
That's not the point. He shouldn't be putting stuff like that out in the public domain.
-
Barton's basically made his position untenable with his remarks on Twitter today. Won't be here much longer although I've got no idea who'd take a punt on him. Proper 'loose cannon' stuff today.
-
Yeah, actually. Could see it. I think he's slightly better than Barton personally, but it would be another one step forward, one backwards scenario. Bit of assuming here but: Cabaye for Nolan Barnetta for Barton Taylor for Enrique Erdinc for Carroll plus Ba to beef things up up top. I reckon we'd be about £20m (maybe saving a bit on wages too?) up if that all works out. Lot of assumptions in there obviously.
-
Fair to say that Barnetta would/could be Barton's replacement? See v little of him other than when he popped two in a weekend or 2 ago.
-
It'll be the new club FC United of Stratford if they keep spending like this. Are they selling Upton Park or the ground it stands on? They just seem a bit too reckless for it all to be a co-incidence. Something doesn't add up.
-
When do they move into the Olympic Stadium again?
-
If we're that desperate during the course of the season I'd rather see Vuckic get a game tbh.
-
Routledge with his pace has something to offer off the bench. Those two offer f*** all. They sometimes perform 'Ok, with some nice touches'. Aye, if you're David Blunkett.

Routledge with his pace has something to offer off the bench. Those two offer fuck all. I'd think so too like but loaning him out last season and playing Lovenkrands there would suggest the managment think otherwise. I expect him to be sold like. Clearly Pardew doesn't rate him at all and he'll be moved on. Leicester is my own hunch but we'll see.

Yep.

Funny word 'worth' tbh. His worth to West Ham is huge if he performs like he did in 09/10. His worth to us last year was huge (goals wise). His 'value'? That's another thing entirely.
-
£4m almost pays for Cabaye...
-
Nope. Didn't even realise he was on the park until he had that 50 yard run with the ball before giving it away. Dreadful player - it's not an anti-Sunderland thing either, he's just as shit now as he was a year ago.
-
Nolan would have fucking buried that.
-
Fucking hell. Sturridge has a shot, hits the bar and rebounds about 35 yards. Absolutely leathered it.
-
How on earth do we find a replacement capable of scoring 12 league goals for a few million quid? I can understand the club not offering him a new deal because of his age but at least keep him for a year to buy a bit of time to find a replacement. The team's being ripped apart and absolutely every single one of them is for sale. Barton and Enrique will be next.

Wages taking up 82% of turnover (and getting worse) seems to have set the alarm bells ringing in Texas. Short has been great for them until now, turning their debt into shares etc but there comes a point when he's got to say 'enough is enough'. Shelling out on transfer fees and wages without any return is going to bite them eventually. About 10,000 empty seats on average every game even though their ticket prices are amongst the lowest in the league can't be helping either... The bubble's about to burst.
-
I honestly think things are just starting to unravel a bit down there.
-
He'd do a job for us. Decent player IMO, certainly better than a lot on here claimed when they signed him. Definitely. I fall into that category tbh, never saw him as a goal threat but he's had a good season. Would like him here.

If it applied to all 92 clubs they'd never be able to appoint anyone surely? It would be chaos. I thought it was a rule for PL clubs only but could be wrong like?
