Big club are Wolves. Would rather see them in the top flight as opposed to Wigan, Fulham or Reading tbh. No disrespect to the 3 I've named but Wolves have a history and tradition that pisses all over them.

His legs have gone imo. Looks a shadow of the player he did a couple of years ago. Still far better than Babayaro like (which is sickening).

Just about the least reliable source you can get mate, seeing as any anonymous person can edit it to say what they like. And they probably have. I read it yesterday in one of the Sunday papers ...and where do you think those lazy shitehawks got it from?....

We've managed it with this new kit tbf.

Tells us? I'd like to think someone at the club has had the foresight to actually ask him tbh.

Hope Milan nail them to the wall. Also hope it's a bit more entertaining than that heap of shit on Saturday.

Would like to see a Campbell + Ben Haim pairing. Taylor makes too many mistakes for my liking (which is understandable, given his age) but he will get better from working with Campbell every day. Bit of a long shot naming those 2 bearing in mind neither has actually signed but I'm hopeful both do.

alex has hit the nail on the head like. He won't recall him because of the threat of looking weak. It was his big gesture/statement to the squad that it was time for change - if he does a U-turn now, the media will rip him to bits for it. He's made is bed and he's going to have to lie in it.

Barca to win their last 3 games and Real to bottle one of theirs?? Any takers?

Five nowt. Barca are the kings of Spain.

Great shout Aye, a fella who's just been out for a year would solve all our problems. Sometimes on here you see people say "good call" or "great shout" etc just because it's the first time a player has been mentioned. Fair point but sometimes it IS a good suggestion and one which many people may have overlooked/forgotten about. King is an example - not an obvious player to be linked with but one who could, perhaps, do a job if we went for him.

I'd say no. I'd agree. He's good but he's 'manufactured' rather than natural. He uses his pace to get him into the position and runs onto things rather than having a feel for finding the right areas. Hard to explain.

I'd go along with a lot of that but I think Rooney plays better as one of a partnership upfront. Put him out on the left hand side of an attacking 3 and he can cut inside and get a shot away but that means he can't go on the outside and whip a cross in. Swings and roundabouts? I'd have him playing just behind a moblie, pacy centre forward who is ablr to find space and finish well. His partner would also attract defenders which would enable Rooney that little bit of space and time to create things for himself. All things considered, Rooney is a cracking player who's going to get better and better. Drogba has really pushed on this season and is one of the best strikers in Europe but I think if you put him in Boro's team - he'd flop, whereas Rooney would still impress. Drogba needs the service - Rooney IS the service. I'd agree that Rooney is ideally suited to playing as one of a partnership, but do you think he ultimately will end up doing so? I'm not so sure, as it's in Man U's best interests to keep Ronaldo playing high up the pitch as well so a 4-3-3 may make the most sense. Don't agree with the part about Drogba needing service at all if I'm honest. To me his best feature is that he creates so much for his teammates out of what are often aimless balls forward. He gets his head on almost everything that comes near him, and he's quality with his back to goal. Led the league in assists last season I believe. I do actually! I think Ronaldo should be used as an out-and-out winger who causes mayhem and forces the defending team to double/triple team up on him which creates space for others. Just feed him the ball til he's sick of it. Fair point about Drogba but I think he makes the most out of poor service. The way Chelsea play is an issue and I wonder how long he'll put up with being the one who has to deal with the 2 centre halves kicking the shit out of him.

I'd go with all that, but then you look around and see all the Barca shirts on fat Englishmen and it puts you right off. Hardly Barca's fault though is it? I'm sure the marketing guys at Barca would claim differently You implying I'm fat like? You snore like a fat man tbh. Hehehe. I know.

Sometimes there isn't a lot between these players, for instance if you want to choose who is the best central defender you would sign for Newcastle, who would that be ? Personally, I know John Terry is top class, a captain etc etc but a fit Woodgate runs him close and if anybody is on the same level Carragher too is maybe as good as Terry, he has been absolutely awesome for Liverpool sometimes and is a major reason why they could win on Wednesday. Would have been Tony Adams for me. Nearest player nowadays would be Terry but I also like Carragher and he never gets the credit he deserves.

Would much rather see Barcelona win it all tbh. Love the city, love the people and admire what they went through under Franco's rule. Also like the way they're run as a club - having over 100,000 members who decide on things. A genuine, genuine massive club. C'mon Barca.

just like wor Kev Correctamundo. Bond got his P45 because Shepherd panicked when he saw Panorama. Once the dust settled, Allardyce was in the clear and he hired him. Can't see the big hoo-haa that's being created. Granted Bond has a reason for feeling a little aggrieved but it's hardly earth-shattering stuff is it?

Good shout. Forgot about him. Big horrible, nasty fucker who puts himself about. I'd have him here in a heartbeat. blueyes.gif I wouldn't really call Earnshaw a big horrible nasty fucker but each to their own. Touche.

without understating Ronaldo, I agree completely with what you say about Rooney and Gerrard, the best 2 English players in the premiership and the 2 players I would buy for Newcastle who are currently playing in the premiership and money was no object. No objections here! They're both absolute quality. Gerrard drives the team on from midfield and Rooney makes things happen up front. You could surround them with shite and the team would still do ok. Tough call though. Drogba is awesome, but Rooney gets the nod. Gerrard has no player coming close for the attacking midfield position. Aye, Rooney needs someone to play off. Gerrard can run games from the middle of the park on his own. Prefer both of these to a talented winger who occasionally flits in and out of games - especially the big games.
