no it seems he's not blinkered If it was a Man Utd vs Milan final, who would you prefer to win? Just curious like. errr milan but man utd are our deadly rivals we aint yours are we You've answered my question exactly as I thought you would. God help us all if 'pool win it again. Can they get any more arrogant? He's telling the truth tbh. Of course he would prefer Milan over Manchester united, questions a bit silly tbh. It was the 'blinkered' bit I was getting at but I'm sure that's still about half an hour away from rolling over your brow tbh. Slow penny drop and all that. hey don't be like Don't be like what?

do you even know what an interview process is? how the fuck would you like it if you were the bolton chairman right now? Or a Bolton fan even, selling them out big time is Uncle Sam And on the whole bringing people with you aspect, i've always been suspicious of the kinds of managers who always seem to take the same players round with them, I can't think of a top flight club with a manager like that currently. Jose Mourinho? Red rag to a bull(shitter?).

Can't see why he can't have a clean slate under a new manager. If for whatever reason he doesn't work out I wouldn't mind Milner on that wing to see how he works out there. He has had some of his better games on that side like ManU and Chelsea, also was it the Palermo game he played down there? His excellent cross was certainly from that side. We could do an awful lot worse than try Milner out there, cutting inside and getting shots in. Would prefer to see a naturally left-footed player out there though.

Would be the only one we had till November. Considering his regression this season it might be a bit of a risk. Hard to impress when you're constantly overlooked...

Already got a perfectly good left winger on the books already. He's called Charles N'Zogbia...and the lad deserves his place back imo.
-
I very much doubt that any team in the Premiership will sign a 17 goal a season striker this summer for less than 10 million (that isn't on a Bosman of course.) That is the going rate, and Oba has been good value for money. Don't agree mate. At times he's looked tremendous but by and large he's looked very average imo. I'm not saying he's a poor player and he won't improve - I'd just rather someone else took the chance on possibly improving him and gave us our money back for him. Don't care who buys him tbh.
-
They need an out-and-out winger imo. Don't think Pennant is the answer and Kewell has flattered to deceive. Someone who can beat a man with skill or pace. Put someone like Kanchelskis (in his pomp) out wide and they'd tear teams to bits. Ronaldo would actually be the perfect player for Liverpool to sign, funnily enough. Quite agree. blueyes.gif Bit of a difference between a bit of width and a natural winger. Even better if he can switch flanks and attack both full backs - cutting inside or going for the bye-line depending. Also think that Alonso is a fucking great player. Got just about the lot and could create loads if Benitez change his philosophy and set his teams out to beat the opposition rather than not lose to them.

He'll need to be replaced obviously but I can't see too many shedding tears over him leaving. At best he was decent but ridiculously injury-prone. Not the worst I've seen in black & white but we should be able to attract better to replace him.
-
Think we paid too much for him to begin with and have seen nothing to make me change my mind. If we can turn a small profit on him then I'd snap their hands off. I know he's young and he may improve but I'd rather someone else took that chance on him tbh.

Something tells me the coaching Martins had in his early years was a damnsight better than what Shearer had at Southampton. Ian Branfoot, Dave Merrington and Chris Nichol. *shudders*

I'm sure the £2.5m he'll earn will soften the blow. Agree like. blueyes.gif

Makelele is leaving this Summer, Balack has been pretty poor and Mikel hasnt been all that good so i think Sidwell will get more games than people think. He's at the bottom of the pile tbh. Not saying he won't play but when it comes to the crunch - he'll be a long way down the list. He might start 10 games if he's very lucky. Yea he's at the bottom but as someone has said African nations is next season so quite a few players will be leaving for a while. Sidwell will get the chance to win things and to play in the CHL so i can understand why he moved there. So can I! (see first post ) But it's barmy to sign for a club when you're only going to play in the month of January. Or whenever it is. The way i see it is, He has a chance to play for 1 of the biggest clubs in England if not the world and has the chance to win things, He's gonna be playing and training with worldclass players and gonna have a chance to play in Europe and on top of that he's gonna be on very good money also his family dont need to move. He wont play week in week out but has a chance to try and prove he can play at the highest level. Basically whats he got to lose? Am I being fucking wooshed here??

I'll be astonished if he's still there in 18 months time. Can understand his reasoning - won't have to move his family, massive wage, might win things... That said, there's a very good chance he won't get a sniff of a run of games. He's obviously weighed things up and decided to sign for them. No great loss imo.

I usually judge a player by how much it would cost to replace him. In this case I think we could pick up a replacement for about £500k max. Says it all I think.
-
I see Ramage as Bramble without the hint of ability, I was optimistic when he first came through though. Didn't last long. I honestly think you could pick half a dozen centre halves from the Northern League who'd be as good or significantly better than Ramage. The fact he's still on the books is embarrassing.
-
I think officially his contract probably runs out on 31st of May. That contract has not been renewed so I'd assume he'll be paid til then? After that though, he's someone else's problem.
-
That's being very optimistic regardless of the length of the contract tbh. Dunno when its going out, but would love us to get some money back. We have wasted to much money on players that are not playing. It's irrelevant anyway mate - we'll not anywhere near that for him regardless of destination or time-frame. Just not going to happen imo.
