  1. Don't agree mate. I think they'll be just as strong - if not stronger. They'll have more games to play but I think Moyes will spend a bit this summer.
  2. Krul needs the experience. Harper is a waster with no ambition. I'd release Harper and promote one of the young lads to number three behind Given and Krul. At least they'd have a bit of fight and determination to break into the first team. Harper is just taking the fucking piss. He takes thousands out of this club every week, has done so for nearly 15 years, and couldn't give a shit about getting splinters in his arse. Some call it loyalty - I call it an inferiority complex and a lack of ambition. Nah, sell Harper and promote Krul.
  3. Cause they're s*** and are playing over their heads? On the other hand, I couldn't have told you much about Reading before this season. As shit as the are, they'll stay up. Their home record will be canny next season. Fulham, Wigan and the play-off winners will go down. (Seems harsh to write them off before the season has started but can't see WBA or Derby staying up)
  4. He has shown the ability to be great though and as said before when some of the youngsters came into the side this season you really could see how much more developed Taylor was. He is far from the new Terry or whatever others have claimed but there is no reason why he can't get to that level as he has all the attributes and although rash certainly doesnt seem as dopey as Titus. Terry, Woodgate, Ferdinand, Toure, Carragher etc all had one thing in common, a commanding, quality partner to help them through games and teach them how to get over their weaknesses. So far in his career Taylor has been the one trying to get the rest to concentrate and defend properly, although this could be good for him in a way he still needs that strong, solid partner to develop him from the rash lad to a consistantly quality defender. The lad definitely needs an older head next to him if he's going to develop like. He just tends to be caught out too often and seems to be scrambling about with last-ditch tackles. His distribution from the back is nothing special and I don't think he's capable of bringing the ball out himself. His reading of the game is canny but is caught out of position too often for my liking. Granted this could be down to his full backs being pulled all over the place and he's left to cover their mistakes/missed tackles. As I've said he's not a bad defender and I'm sure he'll get better but, as we type this - I think he's very ordinary. Unfortunately. Can't and won't question his effort but he just doesn't look the part yet. Fingers crossed he gets a regular partner at the back who's going to bring him on. For the U21's and on a couple of occasions for us he has brought the ball out very well and created/joined in attacks. He doesn't really do it enough but that could be put down to movement from his team mates (or lack of) or just confidence to do it in the premiership (although with any of our other centre backs would you be confident to leave them alone? ) At the moment he is nothing special, he is rash and does make mistakes but he has plenty in him that good coaching and a good partner could get out. I have a lot of faith in the lad, probably a bit too much but I really see a lot of quality attributes that just need working on and a few errors to his game that can be ironed out. Totally agree. He's got most of the attributes to be a rock solid defender. He needs good coaching and a steady head alongside him though. Something he's, unfortunately, never had yet. I'd love to see him develop and become the assured centre-half he undoubtedly could be. Also agree with Dave that Bramble being released should serve as a warning to Taylor that he's not indispensable and MUST improve if he wants to continue pulling on a black and white shirt.

  6. Not doubting his effort. He always gives 100% as you say - which puts him above some I could mention. I'm questioning his ability. He's very ordinary imo. Not bad, but not that great either.

    Wembley Prices

Only if you're dense enough to buy one...
  8. Bargepole time. Don't particularly rate him as a player, wary of his injuries and the toll they've taken. Also comes across as a bit of a fucking arsehole tbh.

    nufc.com

Like many have already said. Used to be my first port of call when logging on. Barely even check now. Only check one or two things a couple of times a month. They're entitled to their opinion of course but I just get the impression that they're not quite as objective and honest as they used to be. I can't prove anything - just a general feeling I get. They used to be scathing in their criticism of the regime.... demanding answers and wanting progress.
  10. Personally, I'd like to see Carroll in ahead of Sibierski. The lad needs experience and he's not going to get it if he's behind that fucking plank. With all due respect like...
  11. Allardyce has been brought in because he's got many qualities. One of his best qualities is his ability to get players producing on the park. Whether they are toe-rags or short of cofidence - Sam gets them going again. We'd be mad not to let him have a go at turning Luque into a Premier League player. He may not actually do it but it's got to be worth a try before we write off another £9m and give the lad away for next to nothing. Surely we've learned our lesson after Viana?
  12. Club should be bending over backwards to sign the bloke on a 2 year deal. He's produced at every club he's been at and on a free - it's a no-brainer.

    Wembley Prices

So what's new? The old Wembley was exactly the same for charging way, way OTT prices for food & drink. And it was a fucking shit-tip.
  14. I saw what you did there.
  15. Cheeky little shit! 'Doesn't want to be messed about'.... Try defending properly rather than shouting your mouth off in the press. Very average player who gets away with murder because he's local. Personally, I'd fine him 2 weeks wages for coming out with that heap of shite. If he did come out with it. The media print lies all the time and people believe whatever suits them at any given moment in time. I assumed the article was kosher. It's a canny rule of thumb when a player is actually quoted rather than a 'source close to the player' or some such shit.

AAGGGHGHHGHG can they not just have one term where they go to school 7 days a week, and just Christmas Day off?? (teachers still get their holidays. Obviously.) Oh yes, just get young offenders on Community Service to look after them while you lot have a holiday. Just put the hardest kid in charge of each class. blueyes.gif

    UEFA Cup Final

Been a good game but I think Seville have always been in control of it. Always looked the more likely to score.
