  1. Don't think now is the time to stick the boot in tbh. They're not faultless or perfect but they've backed their manager and having a pop now serves no purpose at all, I can understand the frustration but it won't do any good now.
  2. We were always going to hit a rough patch of form and results at some point in time and it's now come. We were unbelievably good in the first 16 or 17 fixtures and we've now hit the blip we should all have been expecting, it was going to happen. That Bruno red felt big at the time but it now feels like a turning-point in the season, with a dip in form, impotent in attack and costly at the back without him on the park to marshal people. Tonight was a big blow undoubtedly but the big picture is still very rosy. Next we have out first trip to Wembley for 24 years to look forward too and it's a chance to put a cup in the cabinet. We're underdogs obviously but it's a game of football and we've got a puncher's chance. We're also still (despite the poor form and results) in 4th and have no European football to worry about for the rest of the season. Just compare this present situation to 12 months ago - we were all shitting breezeblocks at going down. Now we have a decent chance of CL football and a Cup with top 7 looking very very likely. We're still playing catch-up on the top 6 and it probably won't happen in a year or 2 but I'm loving being optimistic and loving the challenge of competing at the top rather than dreading being in the bottom 3. My glass is still way more than half full despite the recent blows. This is what following a team is all about, up's and downs and enjoying the ride
  3. Osimhen looks like he could take on the world right now. Napoli 2 up and cruising.

Good. He's incompetent. Utter travesty on the pitch and somehow, unbelievably, even shitter in a room full of state of the art technology, zero crowd pressure and enough time and camera angles to ensure the right result is achieved.
  5. Not sure I want to live in a world where Chris Wood can be transferred twice within 18 months and £40,000,000 changes hands in the process

To be fair they all seem to be enjoying the way things are going and loving going to the matches which, as a supporter, is ultimately all that matters. We all want to go and just enjoy watching our own team and get some pleasure out of it otherwise what's the point? I think they're going (massively) over the top about the standard of what they're watching but they seem happy enough with it. They're currently sandwiched in between Luton and Watford and I'm yet to hear fans from those 2 bang on constantly about how fucking great they are but hey ho, live and let live.
  7. Hope Barca kick their fucking kneecaps off

"going to be fantastic" I wouldn't have gone with 'fantastic' personally. Murder and war doesn't scream fantastic to me but hey, each to their own, sounds like he's looking forward to it so he can crack on I suppose
  9. Gueye has already got 2 fouls. Got to be nailed on to be booked - currently 13/8ish
  10. Defy anyone to have predicted that at mid February we would have lost just 2 games of football so far, be 4th and have a legitimate shot at staying there and we'd be preparing for our first Cup Final in 24 years. This season has been a phenomenal effort from Howe and the team, they've entertained us and made us proud of the club again. There have been some results which have been frustrating obviously and maybe another player or 2 in the window would have been useful and it's fair to point it out. But if people want to dwell on the very few negatives repeatedly rather than celebrate the positives then I really don't know what to say to them tbph. It's sport and sometimes it doesn't go perfectly and that's fine. I'd urge everyone to take a few steps back and have a look at what's been achieved by the team in it's entirety, it's an amazing transformation and it's going to get better and better as we build this club and team up - just try and fucking enjoy it
  11. First match I have actual real memories of is this one:
  12. "messed about with some bread, he sold the mould"
  13. "Some ships got made, they found stuff and that"
  14. "They built some rockets, some landed on the Moon"
  15. "The ball got kicked about at times, some goals were scored"
  16. I wouldn't give a bucket of piss for the opinions of any of them. They can all fuck clean off

Firmly believe we could sell out 65k+ every week. There's thousands of people who log in to snap up the remaining tickets that manage to go to general sale but there's also thousands who don't even bother because they know the chances are tiny and don't even bother. The demand is there. The tickets would be snapped up in a heartbeat if the Gallowgate was extended. Do something innovative with the East Stand and get 20+ boxes (somehow) in there and you're giving people a unique experience. A Geordie Bonbonera

For all their back-slapping bluster they give themselves after every single game they play they put in a performance no better nor worse than a bang average Championship team against a PL second string. There was nothing out of the ordinary there tonight, just lack of nous and quality in key areas and the better team eased their way through. Crowd acted like I'd expect a L1 team in the 3rd round

Getting carved open at will. Fulham got about 12 sot in 90 mins in the first game iirc? They could be 3 down already

Sunderland's 32% possession is an utter joy to watch. Sure getting pinned in their own half by a weakened Fulham side is all part of the masterplan.
  21. please please please please please please...
  22. I said they'll negotiate it. Lawyers will argue it down and down until it's at a stage whereby it doesn't hinder the club too much in the future. A reasonable compromise will be reached. They're not getting off with it but the headlines are a bit ott
  23. They'll get hit but it'll be fairly mild imo. Talk of demotion and stripping of titles is way off beam. I reckon hefty fine, small points deduction and a transfer/European football ban of 2 years or something similar. The lawyers will eventually negotiate a deal whereby both sides save a bit of face and it won't be too draconian.
  24. Aren't City pretty much the only other PL team that don't absolutely loathe us and vote against us? Sure they abstained in votes when the takeover were taking place. Not exactly bezzies but not beyond the realms of possibility that the chiefs of both have been in contact about this both before and after the charges this morning.
  25. At work so can't read it all right now but it seems like they're not being charged because they spent too much, it's more the fact they lied about things and tried to cover it up? Would that be correct?
