That and that at least twice today he had 30yd plus balls bulleted at him that he had to come for, with a man on his back, and he laid off precisely, one touch, showing not only the confidence he has but the confidence his team mates have in him

I said this in the ground, kind of half arsed mumbled it and my mate caught it "my new favourite player". So far, doesn't have weakness.

    Hall (give it time)
  4. We are a bunch of warriors. We dominated them all game, they looked bemused. Their fans went very quiet a long time before we scored, they knew.
  5. Right now I see us as levelish...... but we are going in different directions.

    BDB will understand.
  7. 3rd round draw or as we call it up here, Man City away confirmation.
  8. Southampton a few years back. Breaking the news to some of their fans in the pub was a blast.

Piss poor finishing and having a good keeper are features of the game. It's why teams buy certain better players. Mbappe didn't play like his reputation, nor did Dembele. Pope's saves were very Scmichealish, cover as much area as you can, nothing in the corners, placed or well hit.
  10. It's not an either/or situation

I'm not sure he will get the physical strength to play 90mins regularly at the intensity we want, I'm not sure many can. There was an interview last season when he said Eddie tells him to give it both burners from the off and we'll take him off when he's empty (partially why I wanted another forward/wide forward). Last season I think only Brentford made more subs and I'll bet ours were massively weighted towards forward players, it's how we kept the intensity up.
  12. I was hoping there'd be a follow on to Smiling faces, between the wars maybe.
  13. The book "All with smiling faces" gives great detail and background story about the formation of the club from the days of Stanley FC.
  14. Someone flesh this out please as I'm not on Twitter.
  15. If you didn't know it was Mbappe and you weren't particularly watching out for him I doubt anyone would uave been particularly impressed.
  16. I wouldn't say exciting but it helps fill in the gaps between games and keeps interest (monetised) going. I could do without it personally.
  17. Can't afford it.........yet !

It's not that odd. They literally have nothing else.
  19. Wonderfully corrupt system to perpetuate the hegemony of certain clubs. In the unlikely event we beat PSG in the final, had we won the same amount of games, same draws etc in the run, they would get more money.

Me too. We've an idea when it looks like something might get brought back. Isaks goal yesterday for example we were able to celebrate as soon as it crosses the line, most goals are like this.
  22. I've rewatched 5 times now and he moves his arm to the ball. Even in real time you see him flick his arm out.
