True its going to be tough but after this weekend we could start getting players back and look at the position we are in. People are wanking over Villa (and rightly so) but win tonight and we are on their tails possibly coming out if one if the worst injury runs I can remember.

He doesn't manage the national team. He manages/head coach of Vaernamo. They finished 5th.
-
I'd also throw in the Newcastle College site and move the college up to the Helix area.
-
Available subs.
-
ME ! I'd have an issue with it because of, guess what, having nowhere suitable to play for at least 2yrs.
-
And play where for at least 2yrs ?
-
That could get my vote.
-
I'd rather build a new one at castle leazes or the arena site than build a new one at SJP and have to play away for at least 2 yrs.
-
It would mean Strawberry place being shut temporarily. This has already been discussed regularly from SJH's time. Even back then it was possible but not financially feasible.
-
Why ? Anfield stayed open. If anything, redevelopment of the Gallowgate would be easier than the East stand. Can't see any capacity extension of the Leazes yet, stretching it further back for more corporate space and concourses maybe.
-
Does he ? How do both Gordon and Barnes fit? Tonali and Bruno ? At Bournemouth he wasn't a 433er. I think he wants to be flexible but we don't have the squad yet.
-
Bugger.....hadn't realised they were the only choices.
-
New ground on the same location would mean playing elsewhere for at least 2yrs.
-
Alternatively one of the things they stressed time and again what made us such an appealing asset was the city centre location (remember the land isn't theirs to sell) and if the club does well the city centre does well. ..... who has been buying up chunks of the city centre for a few years ?
-
But it is easier to stop going when it's a constant relegation battle. Everyone had their reasons for stopping or going. Amongst those that still went there were very few Ashley fans and amongst those that stopped there were those that could use a boycott as an excuse for just stopping going when it was shit. There were loads that "boycotted" when we went down who came back as soon as we started winning. There were also a good few whose boycotting was legitimate.

I'm not sure Guler is, I think he was played wide originally to ease him in as everyone seems to see him as a central attacking midfielder.
-
Similar to Guler who we were supposedly after. Maybe the plan is to have a more flexible system and to have more options.
-
He hot a few that came off and a few that didn't, thing is even the o e that didn't, he could've been right only for those deals to fall late on for whatever reason. It's always interesting as an outsider to hear players at the end of their careers saying stuff like " I nearly signed for Team Y, everything was agreed but the Mrs didn't fancy it" type stuff.
-
Because they targeted Farioli and he's doing well in France they'll think they can target another and it'll work out.
-
Just been Google mapping to see the size of the city stadium site justbout of curiosity (too small)...... never knew Newcastle had a Walrus street.
-
The only sites I could imagine would be redevelop SJP while we play there, Castle Leazes, the Arena site or the Newcastle college site.
-
And it's not like just plonking some shipping crates down for a year or two.
-
I guess that's one of the things they'll be looking at, the cost of redevelopment Vs newbuild and the loss of "home".
-
Not a chance. There are 2 options. Redevelop what we have while it stays open or build elsewhere.
