I'm not sure it is, just we are getting older and take more notice of it, added to social media making it seem like more. Spent the weekend catching up with some old friends, lads from Newbiggin Hall and West Denton way, lads I've know between 50 and 40yrs and the stuff we remembered going on (not us, we were too soft) makes much of today's stuff quite tame.

I'm off tomorrow so might give it a go to work out the actual cumulative odds game by game for us to go down, bearing in mind it needs Villa to beat Liverpool or Man City, possibly both, Burnley getting something at Spurs, Leeds getting something from Chelsea or Arsenal possibly both.

I'd love to know the actual odds, accumulator style of the results that would need to happen for us to go down. For example Burnley could well pass us if they win their games, however that means beating Villa twice and that would mean Villa having to beat Palace and get something from either Liverpool or Man City. I'm now looking at Leeds to drop.

There's a split like. The vast majority of Liverpool fans I know are 100% plastic. Match going ones probably not on the whole but living in the North East from the 70s to now they were by far the biggest after NUFC up here and SAFC round their way.

Bit of this. My dislike for them is about 80% their fans. From seeing them rushing gates at SJP in the 70s, the snide attacks when on Merseyside (I think Brummie touched on their tactic of being friendly and welcoming till they massively outnumber you, lived it a few times). It'll be interesting in the summer who we bring in. Howe seems to have gone 4-3-3 after trying others, as the way to get the best from this group. Does he see that as the way forward ? Does he have a set plan and wants players to fit that plan or is he more flexible and will alter things according to the players we get ?

This Pearson kid is my sort of worry for the clubs future, seems the sort who'll hang around the training ground and be a pest. Not him in particular but his sort. Won't leave the players alone e if they have a night out, want to get a selfie and crack on to them like they're great mates when he happens to spot one in tesco. There's still a load of land between Newbiggin hall and Kingston Park that could be used. Look at all the building work going on around Kingston Park towards Woolsington and Brunton then around Callerton and opposite Abbey Farm which had planning permission for years but for some reason wasn't utilised. I like Green belting, I don't want Ponteland to be swallowed up Newcastle if we don't need to but one of the main things it needs is a transport plan.
