Re Burn. Wingers have got passed him but rarely regularly. I can't remember anyone given him a turning over like Harrison gave Trippier in the first half down there last season. He looks awkward and cumbersome but in general he stops his opponent
-
As much because I don't think Eddie has confidence in either of them to last the90mins with the intensity he wants with no fresh legs to bring off the bench to replace either of them with.
-
Even then most ex pros subscribe to the "there's contact so he has every right to go down" school of idiocy.

Yeah I just read. Widely discredited mind. Not as likely as dinosaur fossils on the moon.
-
Really ? I'm checking that one out like.
-
There could be Dinosaur fossils on the Moon. (and I'm not kidding)

The thing then, if you think there's an element of unconscious (or conscious) bias is they'll use that to get out of giving decisions against certain clubs.
-
That probably won't get enough appreciation.
-
You just know Brighton will get dodgy decisions on the back of this, obviously not against one of the established "big 6". On another note, has our game against Brighton plus VAR been arranged yet ?
-
There'll always be question marks over any manager who's achievements are at clubs where they've been able to spend more than anyone else. Monet doesn't guarantee success........ but it gives you a much better chance.

I wonder how Rafas time here, purely in football terms, would be viewed if he'd been a bit chummy with Ashley ?
-
I think they know how and when to apply it, Spurs/Brighton was proof, it's just they arrived at completely incomprehensible conclusions. I'm coming round to having them explain their reasoning.
-
Lets see what happens if and when they getvstuff wrong (Spurs Brighton style). Its not VAR that's the problem, it's the reading of it and that's makes it more annoying. On a side note I'm getting pissed off with people saying "you can't celebrate a goalbbecause of VAR"....Bollocks ! The vast majority of goals you watch and you know if there's doubt and most are straightforward and you jump about like a loon like you always have done.

Villas good recent form has came largely against teams struggling in the bottom half (Chelsea, good result though it was may just have been top half but we know the issues they are having), their remaining games, including us, will give a better indication. Before Man Utd I'd have been more than happy with 7 or 8 points from the 4 games, now it's looking like a maximum is more than achievable.

Wasn't the "control of the ball" thing dismissed a while back. Weren't we on the receiving end again but can't remember the occasion.
-
Seems to sit down and stretch his hamstring or calf at least once a game and I shit myself.
-
The love in is for the "plucky little club". Once they've been there 4 or 5yrs they become a Palace.
-
Eh ? He even says they did it as well, more than normal. And he's right. We all get pissed off when we see it happen against us or watching games as a neutral. We're just happy now because we've seen years of it working against us and we've been nice losers.

For Hearts it's a punt. I'd guess they aren't paying his wages so no risk. If he looks good at training then use him, if not he's just another body and builds a relationship with NUFC.

Bit of a shame the animosity between sections of the fans since they got the sheets out. It was one of my fave away days, went 4 or 5 years off the trot in the 90s, even ended up in their version of The Strawberry at one point with a Villa fan we'd met in a pub after he'd been booking his trip for their uefa cup tie in Deportivo.

Cos he spent a few month at Sunderland.

I think the "Doesn't take into consideration if a decision is wrong or not" bit is quite the caveat.
