I remember that. There was a behind closed doors session and everything seemed to change after that.
-
And the legend Diego Swarfega only got 2.
-
Quite a strong line up as well
-
Onana's could yet be ruled out for a foul throw in the 8th minute.
-
That's "Bern"....not "Beren".
-
I've given up on listening to punditry/commentary on games. Currently enjoying Bowies "Low" as an accompaniment to the Villa game. "Station to station" for the 2nd half.

I'm not saying there was one. More that sports don't seem to be seen as businesses in the same way. Ie wage caps, restrictions on employability etc.
-
I'm thinking it's that you liked Gordon last season on the left so in your mind it's hard to move him.
-
You see, that's what I've been asking. I remember Gordon playing right and being impressed but all my memories of Barnes are on the left.
-
On the right at Brentford and Bournemouth. I'm sure he was subbed at half time after being poor starting on the left , Southampton ?
-
Is that based on all Barnes's experience on the right ?
-
I wonder if we'd be saying that had Barnes not got injured and possibly played more and Gordon had his break out season on the right where he actually started for us when he first came
-
There are so many sporting governance rules which would appear to contravene competition law that I'd be surprised if there wasn't specific exemptions on certain laws.
-
Clearly ? How's that ? When signed much was made of his ability to play across the line, it wasn't mentioned that he was LW who could at a push play elsewhere.
-
Any punishment if found guilty needs to hit long term. It's pointless relegating them for one season if the are allowed to come back with the still huge finances which were built off the back of systematic rule breaking (if found guilty of course). Sponsorship to be limited to the average size of other clubs in their division etc (that's off the top of my head, probably needs talking through properly as I haven't gave much consideration to problems since thinking if it 3mins ago).
-
So why not just go with Gordon on the right as he has (probably) much more experience there ?
-
Has Barnes much of a history of playing on the right?
-
One exploited loopholes, one appears to have just lied. Big difference.
-
I've blathered on loads about Tonali being a Longstaff upgrade is a waste of him. Yehh we'd be a bit better but not what could be.
-
Yeah but it's still a bit of a waste compared to what could be
-
Didn't need to do that today and if we do play the "purples' are they suited to how we set up ?
-
The worry with the one touch passing is that we have no one on the same wavelength
-
I'm sure some of that kinder weight and not being so ripped is how he can play every game without pulls and strains.
