Good post, I agree with Decky here. It maybe ok for those who want to see football return to a pre premier league era but Southampton vs West ham being a big game in said hypothetically situation doesn’t exactly get pulses racing. Theyd be well compensated for so long till that leagues now bigger teams say "its us the public want to watch, those at the top not you" and then cut them off. As for Southampton West Ham not setting pulses racing. Neither would a mid table clash between Spurs and Marseilles in a league I have no interest in.

The big 6 know they cant and wouldnt be fussed if they did. The next TV deal without the big 6 could bankrupt many of the rest. All that has to happen is for the other prem clubs NOT to be bought off and say NO. However this could be the first shots in those clubs pushing to sell their own rights individually which could lead to justvas big a disparity.

Nephew of Diego Swarfega. Rumours that it could be his son though.

Organised as in playing 3 of them with 2 holding midfielders about 6ft in front of them ?

Beardsley at WHL our first season in the Premiership, Shearer's first in the 7-0 was better than Lee's and how dare they miss out Paul Huntington's stunner.

He's coming home, He's coming home, Swarfega's coming home.

Forgot we'd bought Lazaar. Id convinced myself we had him on loan.

Shut up man. Other clubs scouts might be reading this and get wind of next seasons tactics.

I was there, Leicester that is.

think that's more through choice, than anything else. Maybe I'm dreaming but I feel like NUFC is the only club that would tempt him in to an ambassadorial role. One thing's for sure is that we need to see that man out in the centre circle and given the reception he deserves before it's too late. Don't think he would be interested in an ambassadorial role, think he was very much a hands on, lead from the front manager, and I doubt he has the appetite for that any more. Oooh I think hed do ambassadorial if we were a big player.

I don't mind him. He's always seemed an annoyance for opposition, just a constant niggly (not in a fouling way) type player who's safe with the ball without being too threatening to the oppo. A probable slight upgrade on Hayden. Problem being either if them should be at best squad players but between them will probably see an entire season.

Ksa aren't going to pay off or national debt because they own a football club They were going to invest in an area in need of investment at a time when a lot if investment is being pulled apparently. Again, that's not the PL's problem. Didn't say it was, just replying to the previous post comments about paying off national debts etc

Looks like he's lost his motivation for the game now, so if he goes anywhere it'll be China or MLS, maybe his local Argentine team. Don't see him having the desire for any other team He has more than 30 goals and 25 assists this season . I know that is lower than what he usually does but that is better than Thierry Henry's best ever season. Every team on the planet wouldn't have a problem accomodating "unmotivated" players like him. Dont rhink hes saying teams wouldn't want him.....its more what HE wants.

Had high hopes for him at Boro, I remember a NYD game at SJP when he was the best player on the pitch by far ( to be fair the other 21 players would have got beat off any other prem team that day....think Lee Clarke got our equaliser). Fair dos mind he turned into a spiteful little twunt after that. One of the few players I've saw regularly make it obvious he's trying to injure opponents.

At this point that boils down to who is more likely to take legal action Ashley or Bein. I've seen this mentioned a few times in here, and I'm a bit confused by it. This is a genuine question, not trying to be a knob or anything but what legal grounds would Bein have to sue the Premier League? I mean obviously they're going to be p*ssed off as rightly or wrongly they blame Saudi for pirating their rights. And clearly they're going to be very shitty with the PL and possibly threaten to bid less money next time the rights are up for grabs or maybe even withold agreed payments for next season. But if the bid passed the O&D test as published and the takeover was approved, is there any legal basis for Bein to try to take action vs the PL? I’m no legal expert but seems common consensus that Bein have legal teams ready. The telegraph and Liam Kennedy has mentioned this tonight, I can only assume they’ll come after the Premier League as the rights holder for their loss of earnings. Apparently Serie A has reimbursed a large sum to bein sports, after the Italian FA agreed to hold a cup game in Saudi Arabia. I guess they’d see it as the PL becoming complicit with the piracy by allowing the Saudis into the league, I’m unsure myself how that argument would stack up legally. Would it be the piracy as I thought that stopped last year. More likely to be that KSA banned Bein from boardcasting there.
