  1. I know he's a weird fucker but surely that's sarcasm. Sarcasm from me or him ?
  2. Wasn't there a report last week that the PL wanted talks with Al-rumayan ?
  3. That’s exactly what Qatar and Bein want. I do feel Saudi and the other members of the consortium could be doing a bit more in terms of PR. The Reubens for example could easily exert some influence. PR counts for shit when the PL knows the monies involved.
  4. Definitely not a moral check been carried out that's for sure, or this was dead in the water the moment it was put forward. They've prioritised their IP and money seemingly, hardly a shock. In my view the problem Masters has is that last time the rules were updated they didn't foresee a situation like this where there would be a potential takeover which by all accounts is unpopular with a lot of member clubs (boohoo) and more importantly one of the league's biggest sponsors. He surely wants to reject it but there's no written rule saying that takeovers can be vetoed by a broadcasting partner. So they'll keep digging away with the piracy until either they've got enough to reject or time itself has cone to an end. But yes, even he knows that rightly or wrongly the PL can't reject on moral grounds Other way round in my eyes. They (the PL and the Government) want it but KSA are in breech of conditions in the test which, if they are put right, even if its just a facade, will be enough to pass it.

    Sunderland

Theres absolutely no way Sunderland could afford Colbacks wages. He could probably buy them though.
  6. Some section that section F. Could include almost every human on Earth when it states about including those who could possibly become directors in the future.
  7. What did they ask? She said she was an MP for Sunderland and asked if NUFC supporters (some of which were her constituents) should have been keep informed, or at least given some sort of update, given its now been ongoing for 3 months. Masters basically said as its (the O&D Test) a confidential process, he couldn't give any sort of updates. Was it Bridget ?
  8. It's weird isnt it. Some people just go to shops to be out and about. I quite like having a browse from time to time, provided its not to busy. What will replace the high street? Clothes shops are going, pubs are going, betting shops too. What does the future hold? Pubs and restaurants? Not so long ago there was a spell when more pubs opened that shut. City centres will become "expeeience and entertainment " based, even more residential.
  9. Very much doubt he'd lose everything. Its what Limited liability is for.
  10. Why sell NUFC which makes a profit to finance another acquisition when interest rates are so low ? He may well be interested in some or all of INTU's operation but I'd doubt he needs to sell to buy
  11. I dont think he'd need to sell us to buy intu. Intu own 60% of Eldon Square. Eldon Square probably has about 50% of the retail space in Newcastle. In comparison Ashley a few years ago bought 1 building on Northumberland Street for £30m. Even in administration it would cost billions to buy all of Intu’s properties. As of yesterday it had a market capitalisation of £52million. There is no way you could buy it for £52m. It would be the biggest bargain ever. Maybe not because it also has debts which is why its in the position it is. Yeah, you'd need to pay back the creditors if you bought it at that price. Would you have to pay back the creditors or manage the debt ?

  14. Thats brilliant. Could only be bettered had he "Haway the ladded"
  15. They really haven't, like. To impatient Newcaste fans, maybe. In my more impatient moments, I sometimes think what the fuck are they doing that's taking so long, or why can't we at least hear a proper, factual update. But in this now business world of football, there's really no obligation for the fans to be included in any capacity in the business dealings behind the scenes, as frustrating/helpless as that feels at times. It shouldn't take this long. I can only assume that the Premier League is making them change something and it will go through. It would have been rejected earlier if it wasn't going through. My assumption is that they are going through the motions so no one can complain when it goes through.

Just flown over NBH/Westerhope towards town. Report live from my garden.
  18. Maybe they haven't fallen for the western style over substance at all times idea yet ?
  19. I’d rather his head comes off his gorilla shoulders tbh. Unfortunately I think if this all goes through, it's quite likely that as part of their "sportswashing", the Saudis will have to tone down on the in-stadium executions. Well, Gallowgate ? Its no coincidence.
