When they took about 40 to Norwich You have to applaud those that turned up. They're a small club who punched above their weight for a while. Always find it strange taking the rise out of some teams support to those that actually make the effort. Aye. This has been a complaint of mine in this division. The whole "your support is f***ing s***" "[insert team name] here is a shithole" brigade bore me. In this division they are proper fans from mainly Northern towns that have been decimated over previous decades and actually we can probably relate to. Newcastle might be beautiful and gods country and all that but there's no need to be t***s about it. At least these people support their home towns and s*** teams. Totally

That maybe an occasion of a journalist typing up his copy from the bar.

It seems so rare I have any bets involving Southampton, yet they always screw me over, for £135 on an £8 bet this time. Minnesota, fuck me, not a good day on the wager front.

Left back, Right back and a top line centre half. Not 100% sure of our keepers either!

That's a bit daft tbh. He's been gone best part of 2 years now. If you can't get behind Rafa, and what he's trying to achieve, because of a manager who left nearly 2 years ago and is no longer our problem then you'll always be bitter. Great times to be a Newcastle supporter. The best since the Robson era. Shame you've allowed Alan Pardew to let you miss out on it. I don't get this great time to be a Toon fan thing like. Just remember who our owner is. Oh and we are in the Championship. It's a better time to be a Toon fan thus far since Ashley took over admittedly. But then this was probably felt when KK walked through the door or when we smashed the mackems 5-1 or finished 5th. Me I cannot hold onto this so-called good time because I'm fearful of the f*** up that's no doubt around the corner. Enjoy it while it lasts. I reckon Rafa will not be here by year 3... I'm enjoying watching Newcastle more now than I was pre Ashley under the likes of Souness and the back end of the Roeder era for example. The division we are playing in doesn't really matter to me. The 92/93 season is probably my favourite of all time and we were a 2nd Division team then. Agree with what you say about Ashley though. Just hoping he stays in the background and let's Rafa run the club the way he wants bit it'll be interesting to see if he continues this stance of staying in the background should we be promoted. I'm not so sure. On paper take Ashley out etc. and the sky is the limit with Rafa, it's like going back to when KK first took over, so I can see why fans are all upbeat. But, the owner... that's my concern. And that's why I don't share it. Again I can see a time when Rafa leaves and it all comes tumbling down again. I only hope when it does happen fans have the balls and backbone longtime to rally against Ashley! It's not like. Under Keegan it was a little unexpected, no-one thought we'd start the way we did, we weren't favourites to win the league. This time we were odds on, literally, to get promoted. Oh and the stats at the end of this season will probably be better than that season, the style of that season has stripped this one so far.

Seen penalties given.

One of the worst away followings I've ever seen up here. Especially considering it was a Saturday 3pm match. Aston Villa was the worst one I can remember. It was the game when Ben Arfa scored an absolute screamer in a 1-1 draw in 2012. Villa brought about 800 max. Fulham are absolutely pathetic but they don't scream about being huge, and neither do Cardiff. Aston Villa tell everyone they're the Real Madrid of the Midlands, when the truth is their club has so little character and support, they should wear all brown rather than claret and blue. Yet all the Villa fans I've met have been canny. I agree the way they come over online like.

What a world where 6 points adrift is an achievement Other teams have that 40point target, they start off with a 12point target.
-
How so, they'd be 3 points further back.

wrong Hypothetically if Rafa came in straight after Pardew on the same terms as he is with is now, would we have ever gone down? the scale of rot demanded a rafa-level manager and pardew started and embedded the rot in the club...mcclaren let it fester We should and could have gone in for a Rafa style manager straight away. That is my point. Our club was tredding water from Jan-June that season, where any competent manager could have been resolving a lot of our problems. Pardew was s****, but if we'd employed anyone competent then we'd have been fine. Pardew didn't set any random curse on us. We had ample opportunity to resolve Pardew's s*** long before we went down but Ashley's choices after Pardew went, gave us no chance of doing so. Like who ? The thing with Rafa was everyone knew him ad what he is. There may be equally as capable managers but none with the profile who could come straight in and pull the fans back over.

Relegation seems like it could do a lot more damage to the mackems than it would to Palace. The correct answer is Pardew sacked and mackems relegated.
-
That may be true but I doubt Ashley would have OK'd it to those of less stature than Rafa.
-
I had relegation from the prem to be between The Mackems, Boro, Burnley and Hull. Swansea seem to be throwing themsleves at it though.
-
They do but I'm not sure they have the ability to win when it doesn't come off. Defintely the best in the prem to watch at the minute though.

Not sure mind, theres a strong argument Wolves are a bigger club than leeds historically. I deleted that bit as I did a bit of research and Wolves have won more league titles than Leeds (4 to Wolves, 3 to Leeds). aye- in fairness to you, over the last 40 years they have fallen way behind. Leeds have always been the bigger club in my lifetime and thats how I gauge these things.

Sod him.

I was disappointed that there's no live fA cup game on but I like this game to game thing on BBC1. I know Sky do it for non prem midweekk games but it really works for This round of the cup. It's the future I tells ya, it's the future!

Agree about Shelvey. Also the first time I've seen this season the opposition put someone on him that close.
-
If it's true I could see Benitez accepting. Don't think he's too keen on Mitrovic.
-
I'm fairly sure there were loads on Glory Glory imploring Spurs not to sign him in the hours before his transfer and many saying he was a bad signing afterwards.
-
Moyes is just protecting himself. Making sure everyone knows they are crap and it's not down to him....... even though a fair bit of it is.

I remember it going off on Strawberry place before the game with a well known Cardiff loon and his mates (was on the bbc documentary and wrote a book I think) taking refuge from our lot in the club shop. They brought an absolutely p*ss poor following of approx. 500 fans max the last time they were here in the PL on a Saturday afternoon though, the 3-0 Pardew protest game. The then landlady of The Bridge told us to buy a few at once as she was stopping serving because of the Cardiff fans behaviour (abuse to staff, throwing beer around and generally trying to goad people) Welsh coppers with them aswell who didn't seem to give a shit

Easy, if you criticise SAFC in any way you are a Mag. Have anything good to say about anything involving NUFC or Newcastle upon Tyne, you are a Mag. Dispute any of the lies, eg Free travel to PNE, Bobby Robson was a "massive lads fan" and was spat on by loads when manager here, there is no racism issue at the Stadium of Light etc you are a mag.
