This is the thing really. Although there are issues (Diame) we should have destroyed Norwich and Villa with slightly better finishing. That's why Rafa probably won't make us more attacking - he doesn't need to. We won the game today on the basis of having two strikers on the pitch though, so I think he needs to be more open to doing at home. it's not even more open, it's more balanced in this division NOT to play Gayle as a lone through the middle up top striker.

We won in dramatic fashion (always good), can't really say we deserved the win but defeat would've been harsh. Diane/Gayle doesn't work, in fact Gayle as the furthest point, if playing one right up top doesn't work.

I agree, for all the spastics on wearside seem to love him, it wasn't reciprocated. Most premiership manager are reluctant to give up a decent club job for a thankless task like managing England. But then we are talking about decent clubs and you'd be hard pushed to describe sunderland as that. Shite craic that like.
