not in this case, it's if it was a foul or not.
-
yeah I know. I just rail against the owenite idea that any contact is a foul. I hate the idea as well - but you can't do that to a man - because you know it's getting blown up. You've got to stick to the rules - however soft it was a foul in the box so it's a penalty. He was last man so it's a red card. s*** - but that's the rules. eh ? was the contact enough to floor the forward ? if not then it's not a foul. if it is then any contact is afoul.............then every corner will take hours.

i disagree, i saw at lot more robust stuff going on today that was fair game. at first I thought it was as you say, then at HT I watched it again and got incensed by it, on getting homne and watching it again (and again and again and again) it's never enough to stop the forward. In which case - amicably - we'll have to agree to disagree. no probs.

it was his fault but it wasn't a foul, it's what officials fall for all the time as they have to believe the michael owen line that any contact equates to a foul.

re gerrard booking. seemed like it was for nowt, but minutes after the sending off. what chance a word from the 4th official in the refs ear piece about it being a crap decision and the ref attemting to even things up in the way they do ?
-
spot on, he went up and back, the opposite to which he should have done if the challenge had really affected his movement.
-
I think many of them would settle for that at the season end right now.
-
saying nowt, I remember before the home game last season saying that I'd never been so confident going into a derby.
-
dummett has looked good in all his cameos so far, wouldn't worry about him going first XI if needed (to be fair I said the same about ferguson)

Joe that you ? joe ? joe harvey I hope. Sorry that was way more Kinnear type tactic's. aw right, got you. no honestly I just depise suarez that much. suppose I have to thank him for really getting me into the game today. (the horrid cheating diving destroyer of a sport that he is, makes it worthwhile watching any game he plays in in the hope he suffers a career ruining injury)

interesting reading that, fighting amongst themselves again by the sounds of it..

considering that liverpool away is our final game of the season, if we were safe, would anyone else be in favour if sending someone out in the warm up to break a leg or neck of signor suarez and we play with 10 men and accept the ban ?
-
I think Hatem is the sort of player who'd be miserable as f*** if we won 4-0 and he played badly. probably yet some can't understand that he's not a team player.
-
rarely have I been so worked up at the match, I'll take getting beat but getting cheated out a of a match really riles me.

MotM by a country mile today, please please please keep it up.

thats why I hope the Qatar thig gets changed to the winter, once the precedent is set then theres no reason why not to. just for oncelets have a world cup in france, germany or england in october or novemeber.
-
i'm actually getting a bit more confident for this now. cheap red wine is fantastic.

well I suppose we'd better do what you want, lest you send the drones in.

self, self, self, typical yank.

hows it stupid. naturally the teams from some countries will be better suitede to certain weather conditions so why not vary those conditions. from an aesthetic point of view, being a northern european sunny afternoon football just doesn't do it.
-
not in the world cup because it hasn't been done. happens in the european championships (floodlights) and adds to it.

World Cup is always proper no matter where it's played. It's the fuckign World Cup, biggest sporting event in the world. Once every four years, I don't care if it's played in Siberia, Alaska, Fiji or w/e. It's great and the best thing about the sport. Yep. Nah. 2010 was almost ruined by the f***ing vuvuzelas. The shitty weather, ball and pitches didn't help either. I think Russia can pull something decent off, at least. what was wrong with the weather ? It was cold and dull, WC is much better in warm weather just down to aesthetics, let alone it affecting play what gubbins! why is the world cup better in warm weather ? why not have it in a northern europe autumn or winter for a change, after all europe is the power house, and in europe it's a winter sport and makes it fairer to have it in a variety of conditions, wouldn't you agree ? No. It was just not as fun to watch while the play was in cold weather. Especially when it's the bright and sunny where I was. I'll always associate the World Cup with warm, summer weather and that always added something to it for me. it wasn't fun to watch because the pitches were poor and there were no really stand out teams, that had nothing to do with the weather. even if it did shouldn't we have a colder weather world cup now and again to make it fair ? why should Northern European teams always have to play in the heat ? why can't the others play in a Northern European winter or autumn for a tournament once ? It's a personal opinion man I said a few posts ago it came down to aesthetics. The entire thing just looked ugly, as opposed to 2006 when it was constantly bright. aesthetically, cold dark nights under floodlights beat sunny afternoons for football.
