shearer and ferdinand, while not primarily poachers were both very good at it. david kelly maybe ?
-
when a shot comes in, particularly from distance and you know it's going in and you are up before everyone else.
-
never really heard (or read) southall talk about football so wouldn't know if he's one of those who played at the highest level but seems to know fuck all (rodney marsh, phil thompson, peter shilton for example). interesting bloke when on about other things though.
-
doesn't " taking chances in the area created by others" account for the majority of goals ? for me he's a good all round forward. his build up play is more erratic than crap (not helped last season by no support or movement). the goals he doesn't score are ones where he takes his man on which he doesn't normally need to do due to getting into positions where it's best to hit early.
-
yeah, that would be the natural result of players being disciplined for twattish behaviour.
-
He wasn't a poacher during his first half season. or in jormany from what I remember.
-
surely the opposite to Di canio would be mahatma gandhi (he plays for atletico goianiense in the same squad as john lennon)
-
can't be that natural when it doesn't happen in most other sports.
-
too much hassle and why punish a team for a genuine injury ?. if a player is injured the physio can come on, game carries on, player is considered out of the game and must leave the pitch after treatment.
-
there are some things football could learn from rugby, I pointed out one, i'd also put in respctful behaviour to officials.
-
I'm massively with you on all of that, not a lot has me shouting and balling more than that s****. seen it a couple of times aswell when they player is injured off the pitch and they still put the ball out and wait for him. bring in rugby rules, if a player goes down injured play carries on.
-
tbf many opposing fans think Krul is as bad as most for doing that.
-
same starting XI as last weekend (injuries notwithstanding) but I have a feeling he'll bring tiote in for anita.

http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/fascism-bad-again.815961/ In particular..... Fuck me, some of them are still rolling out excuses.

Utter nothingness. Rest of the article he goes on to talk about Dummett and Sammy's performances. yeah it's utter nothingness, like most would've come out, would you have preferred "we have booked hotel accomodation for the final"
-
sure I read somewhere that the french thought he'd be throwing a strop if not getting games etc.
-
was it the 4-3 ? Owen 1-0 I think? no recollection of it whatsoever but I know I was there.
-
aye and nah, he's got talent but haven't got a clue where or how to play him ? left possibly of a 3 if cisse is injured, remy through the middle perhaps.

luton, left midfield ? Yeah, well remembered. I don't know if he was left midfield, but he scored against us to ditch us out of the cup on Sky when we were favourites in 94. I've a feeling he was man of the match as well. I was still quite young, we didn't often lose at that time, and I actually thought we were going to win it. bizarre, i just remember an article about him in the independent from years back, controlling games from wide etc. -
