no he didnt. there should have been one change, remy for shola.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

second half he just stayed up front, tracked his full back back once when he ventured forward and he (ben adrfa) looked dangerous........................ get this, best as part of a forward 3 rather than wide in a 4.

'07 ? pah , they were my first words, years, decades before he was born.

    Sunderland

hope not. him staying there is what we want.
  5. Pretty much. thats why the persistent gomis thing makes me think cisse could be off.
  6. oh aye. theres no comparisson when on the ball. i'm sure anita will look even better given more options (ie us stretching other teams by having more going forward.............sorry for constantly banging that drum)
  7. anonymous for the most part. kept on from midweek looking like he didn't want to get kicked.
  8. defensively i'm wary of both. hopefully it's just till anita gets up to speed.

too often it wasn't, it was just the standard passes going astray and runs where he had much better options. for once pardew is right in saying he was frustrating in making wrong decisions particularly in the first half.
  10. once i can remember, bundled off the ball, not a failed pass. MotM for me till he went off.
  11. just reminded watching MotD. things werent helped by a sunday school ref who gave a free kick every time someone fell over.
  12. and as we get more players going forward, more gaps appear giving more options to play passes that dont have to be 'eye of the needle'.
  13. what i mean is they played in front of him, tried to shift ball round him. on the occasions they tried to go over him it was left to colo to stretch (very nearly worked on a couple of occasions) and they didn't really have much pace against him. all reasons why, again, fulham will struggle away this season.

partly, they are also used to hurrying back after he's given the ball up cheaply. today, particularly in the first half he was stuffing up standard passes or trying passes that were never on.
  15. much better movement from us throughout but still brittle when the oppo are in possession. anita inlucky to be subbed (myMotM till then), debuchy and mapou had there best games defensively all be it against not really physical opposition (boost for confidence). we looked a different team with another player looking to get forward..............................fancy that !. remy may not be great but we were crying out for that other player to get towards the box.
  16. leader of the movement style today. turned up on either wing a couple times and just as important, somebody dropped in for him.
  17. better today but it was against a team that played to his strengths. good for his confidence anyway.
  18. from level 7 the boo balance wasn't bad. enough booing to let him know many are pissed off with his behaviour but enough applause to give him some confidence.

he was cack in the first half, gave the ball away cheaply time after time. in the second half looked more of a threat then when remy came on looked a totally different player again. amazing what can happen with someone else getting in the box.
  20. Oops. errm........too far to walk from the metro.
  21. I don't think many blame him for having enough of the setup/regime and wanting to leave, but refusing to play is out of order. bollocks. many can agree with him wanting to go but are p*ssed off with the way he's went about it. put in an official transfer request so you lose your 10% and still play your best while you have to. What part is bollocks? Your post agrees with what I've said. aye, but it's the bit I emboldened in messis post. (I just couldn't be chewed to go back to his individual post after already quoting it so just used the bold)
  22. i'm only 4 mile away but could go to 11mile the other way first. GM.....yes it is, lovely scenery on the way down, couple of beers with friends, 2 hours contemplation, more beers with frinds then relaxing journey home, get a curry from that nepalese down towards haymarket, bottle of wine, couple of cans then shag the wife and boot the cat (or shag the cat and boot the wife if you prefer).
  23. it's not so much trusting them it's more if someone said that about me in the press, if it was crap i'd put them straight.
  24. they need that new ground. mself and a good few mates (and I'll bet thats repeated through a few newcastle/sunderland fans) would be very tempted to go to gateshead but watching football at the international stadium is a sole destroying experience.
