It should be a FIFA or UEFA thing that a player can't play internationally when breaching his contract domestically.

We've had bids in for Delap, Pedro, Ekitike, Sesko , Wissa and Steand Larson this summer as well as buying Thiaw, Ramsey, Elanga and Ramsdale. It only seems "glacial" when things don't come off Had we walked away from Sesko and Man Utd then bought him at the price we'd bid people on here would have been screaming that we shouldn't have blwalked away.

Its probable we looked but weren't comfortable with anything we saw as we were quite happy to go for Elitike and Sesko.

If he were to come back I'd guess the players and staff would be professional enough to get on with it. Isak himself would have to earn his place as opposed to open arms and I'd trust the fans not to sing his name, sing everybody else's, back the club but not his.

What could they have done differently? We either sell him for less than hes worth which creates more problems down the line or let it play out. Im not hearing any answers as to what a CEO or DoF could have done to change the situation. Even coming out publically and saying hes going nowhere means you are then needing to do that on every piece of speculation.

The circumstances that the snake has created is what has driven this window the way it has and Im not sure what a DoF or anyone else could have done differently.

There are times in football when there are a team or some teams, a player or some players who are truly outstanding, players or teams that stand out through the ages. At other times there are hgood players and teams but none that make you go "wow". With the passing of Messi, Ronaldo and that great Barcelona team, I think we are now in one of those times of good rather than great.
