We've said for the last 2 or 3 seasons the starting XI is improved if we improve depth. We can't play the "Starting XI" every game, we've seen what happens as there's such a drop off. It's not ideal, we'd have preferred to do both but any improvement is better than going backwards.

Principally because we don't have a "reserves".
