  1. What Crumpy said, but cancer is a horrible disease and I wouldn't even want to see my worst enemy get it (whey, maybe Chris Moyles). Fingers crossed he can fight it as long as possible and have a decent quality of life for some time yet.
  2. That's his problem. He's a journalist and the wall of silence from NUFC is stopping him from doing his job. No other club would publish all the lurid details for the rags to pick over so why should we be any different? Hughton is paid to get us results, Carroll was going through a purple patch so he played him. The club could well be conducting a lengthy internal investigation, they could've fined the parties involved etc. Fact of the matter is no one knows and McNally's indignant and frankly limp wristed rant just tells me he's pissed off because he doesn't know.
  3. I hope you're doing a subtle piss take on the deluded Geordie stereotype.
  4. Best would be a good shout considering whoever you get inevitably gets injured/gets sold.
  5. It's very hard to guess how Colo will do in the top flight. He was poor last season but the turmoil surrounding the club will have had a huge effect on him and his game. This year he has looked like a Premier League defender playing in the Championship, lets hope he makes the step up.
  6. I'd go for... Dale Bennett Craig Dawson Jamie O'Hara Alan Hutton Nigel Reo-Coker Carlton Cole David Nugent Nice mixture of serious potential and Premier League experience. Doubt the summer will be that good unfortunately.
  7. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=486238 Free advertising? I wonder how Dave managed to wangle that
  8. Who doesn't remember it? If they played like that tonight they really would deserve their Brown Ale tbh. Once again, great interview with Joey. Keegan
  9. He is a really eloquent bloke in comparison to some footballers but you just know he's constantly on the verge of doing something really daft.
  10. I don't really mind fans running on the pitch, the comedy value when some lad in slip on shoes and a Ben Sherman dress shirt gans arse over tit and gets covered in muck makes it hard to get annoyed with.
  11. Burnley & West Ham. Hull are much harder to hate now that tanned fucker has did one.
  12. Will Miss Decent fans Old school grounds Wont miss Middlesbrough
  13. Red numbers/trim works for me. We should always have it. I know, genuinely couldn't give a shite.
  14. We won't win both, we just won't. Not with the likes of Nolan in the team - he can't play two games in two days. Peterborough are the worst team in the league. Their home record is W6 D5 L9. Sheff U are dreadful away from home - W4 D5 L11. I can't see why we can't pick 2 teams to win each game. Start well and get 2 or 3 up early against Peterborough and coast through the rest of the game. Pick mostly the same players against Sheffield (who've also played a blood and thunder Yorkshire derby on Saturday) and we should beat them too. This. Although I think the game on Monday will be harder if the players & fans find out that promotion has been achieved just before KO. It'll be more of a party atmosphere and will ruin Chris' "lets go and seal the job" speech alternativly it could completely remove pressure from the side and allow them to play with freedom, besides theres always 1st place to focus on This.
  15. I'd agree with that save for the first 10 minutes in the second half when they came out of the blocks a bit quicker. It took the goal for us to start dominating them in the way we have a lot of teams at home this season but that's not to say we still weren't the better side.
  16. I'm absolutely staggered that you think that in most games the other team has 'looked more organised, coherent and motivated'. Seriously? Totally f**king serious, unfortunately. Strikers in this league can't keep their heads and defenders don't concetrate for 90 minutes. So we've done well at either end, in the middle however........ Fucking hell
  17. Me too and quite a few others. No way were there 7,000 empty seats. I was gobsmacked when I found out there was apparently only 45k there. It looked on a par with the Boro game.
  18. Keane's aura managed to get him through his first season at SAFC. He's been woeful ever since, even in the CCC.
  19. He must be a good sport. He responds to any old shite e-mailed to him and hoys it on his website
  20. Does Wigan not have a shopping centre big enough to fit that cunts ego in, like?
  21. I think Guthrie was on the right out of necessity more than anything else. Until we got Routledge he was arguably the best option on the wing. I agree pretty much, I didn't rate him on the right but we didn't have many options. It's great that he didn't get dropped though, he got moved inside where he's most effective. Best passer of the ball at the club IMO.
