He started well but today he was outshone by an out of position Beye.

Nail your colours to the mast: Sack or No Sack?

I'm yet to see a valid reason to keep him. He got rid of Keyring and Titus. -
Makes you think, why the f*** can't my team play like that, doesn't it. aye Really is amazing how scared we are to pass the ball and it's been this way for too long now. Forget Everton! Teams like Reading, Birmingham, West Ham and even Fulham are passing the ball with more confidence than we are. I don't like to blame the fans because they're well within their right to boo if what is being served up is dross, but I do think the effect it has on players, especially new lads is underestimated. Except we were doing this from the outset of the season even when optimism was sky high. Some of of these players haven't played in this league, let alone played together before. You can't expect players to have an almost telepathic ability when it comes to passing etc straight away. That's something that needs to be worked on. It's arguable that we should've seen an improvement already but our current form can't have helped matters.

that could read for cacapa, rozy, viduka, martins, emre, barton and beye as well though. IMO I think it's much harder to get noticed as a good full back. I'm in the 'Jury Still Out' camp when it comes to Beye, but today he was fantastic and that was in a central role. I can't personally think of anything Beye has done wrong to sour my opinion. The same can probably be said for Enrique. He's had moments where he's been both poor and great, yet you could argue for the most part he's been unmemorable. Saying that, when he's played I can't remember us getting dominated round down the left.

I'll give him that! Quite why Carr came on I don't know though. I take the points like, maybe garbage is a bit strong but i'm just not convinced yet, theres just something about him. The fact that Allardyce has been trying to 'protect' him can't have helped either.

Kept Arteta in his back pocket the majority of the game against Everton. He's been good but today he was poor. Seems to be too clever for his own good sometimes and I think his lax passing and his poor final ball is down to the lack of movement from our players rather than just him being inaccurate. Aye fair point about the movement, but he needs to be overlapping N'Zogbia more. Whether that is an instruction from Allardyce I don't know - Geremi moreso seemed to treat the halfway line like a brick wall that he wasn't allowed to pass. He is a young lad playing in a new league. It's probably pretty daunting to have 50,000 fans jumping on every mistake you make and is making him more inclined to stay back and try and nail the basics. I thought during the first quarter of the match Geremi was far too far forward and because of it we got a seeing too down the right hand side. Probably made worse by the fact we had a left winger and three central midfielders playing in the middle.

Keep him. He needs time, as does any manager. Far too many people expect instant success in the Keegan mold which is never going to happen. How many managers are currently reaping the rewards after going through patches like this? -

A true Gent. You can see he just loves the game. Shame on Dyer, Jenas, Woodgate etc. who treat him like a senile old fool during the final years of his reign here.

Barnes Riquelme Huntelaar -
Israel playing alongside Arab nations would be unworkable and massively dangerous, that's why they're classed as European.

I don't, derbies against the Mackems should be a special thing and not something that's trotted out every preseason.

It's the perfect ending. There's no fade out, there's no blown guitar solo, it just ends and everyone in the stadium at that moment errupts.

I disagree. I think it's part of our identity. Either play it every home game or not at all. How? Its a cheesy song written by a Scotsman for a Scottish film IIRC. I don't recall NUFC being in Scotland. When was it made? Early 80's? What did we do before then? When was the 1st time it was played, who decided that we adopted it? (really would like to know where it all stems from if anyone can answer, ta) People over rate this song, its boring, dull and uninspiring. A new era could easily bring a new song, something with a bit of passion and charisma. Its not our culture, we can get rid of it, it doesn't define us by any mean. Load of shite. It's not about the connection to the area, if it was then we'd have Jimmy fucking Nail singing Crocodile fucking Shoes. It's about the way it gets the crowd up and creates an atmosphere. If you can put forward an alternative song that would be just as good i'm all ears.

Just thought i'd rock the boat and add 79% of Geremi's passes were accurate. The highest out of our whole midfield. I'm sure these are the sort of stats Big Sam will be looking at and analysing.

Yes.

Control yourself. As much as i dont mind Local Hero, i always thought the song should have retired with Shearer. Playing the song when a team is led out by Scott Parker or Geremi doesnt feel the same. Thought the testimonial game v Celtic should have been the songs final spin. First of all, you're reading far too much into the song 'title'. No I'm not. It's a good tune that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up and gets the crowd going. Second of all, it's actually called Going Home. I know, but who apart from pedantic bores refer to it as anything other than "Local Hero" If you're not then why say it should've been retired with Shearer? For me and many others it was the clubs song, not Shearers.

I'll give you £7.48.

I agree with this. Feeder clubs would not only would it allow us to poach the best players from said clubs but it would give our young'uns a real chance of playing consistantly in a competitive league and developing.
-
That would never happen due to TV rights. I'm sure Man United were planning to do a very similar thing but got told to bugger off.
-
I forgot to mention setting Alan Olivers feet in concrete and having Mort and Ashley hoy him into the Tyne after a night out
-
Agree with both of them. A Newcastle TV channel would be brilliant, especially if it was able to show reserve games live, interviews with players, staff, classic matches etc. Local Hero needs bringing back too

Sods law, I suppose. I really do think we're more than capable of getting a result down there.
