On paper we're probably favourite for all four but I can see us losing atleast one of those games.

An established right back who is head and shoulders above who we've currently got. I'd take that! He'll do a very good job for the next few seasons then who knows who'll become available?

I think he means Owen has had two shots cleared off the line -
Can't possibly be true.

No Galacticos but good solid defenders needed - Big Sam

I've no doubt we will bring players in, whether they're Sam's first choice or fifty first. -

I'll bet it's not the fraud squad and just some Bizzie's up to cuff Barton and take him away. -
It's a very inclusive place and aslong as you can think up witty retorts then you'll be fine. If not then you're fucked. It's their board, they can do what they want with it.

You can tell who's been told to "up their game or fuck off" when going on to try and extract some more info from Whatever. Some very bitter bastards on here

I don't see Queudrue as anything more than a back up. Allardyce said he wants four more defenders in so i'm assuming he means Queudrue, another left back, a centre back and a right back.

yeah i get your point, just with wahts going on around us it's like we're being left behind a bit. Bollocks to getting left behind, we had a fucking headstart on alot of the teams. We're playing a very shrewd game and I like it. Other teams will bring players in and in turn players will have to leave. I'd much rather we bided our time that jumping feet first into deals for overpriced players.

a)why if you have the cash to improve significantly, improve marginally to save cash ? b)the delisting date is a technical date,i see know reason why he would wait til then if he wants to start spending. -Players like Viduka and Geremi don't come along on a free too often. These players will improve our squad and save cash, to me that isn't a problem. How much do you think we would have to shell out for Viduka if we wanted him and he was still in contract? I'd say £3-4 million at the least. The same goes for Geremi. Does the fact that we've apparently been out chatting to Barcelona about bringing in Edmilson/Gudjohnsen/Deco/Eto'o not tell you that yes, we do have some money? -I'm assuming the delisting date is also linked with the completion of the review which is when we were told things would start to get moving. I don't have a problem with people questioning Ashley but christ, atleast let him get his foot firmly in the door before we jump on his back because of pure fan speculation.
-
I don't doubt that the money is there, I just think Big Sam is being much more frugal than the previous regimes. If he can bring in players on a shoestring that are going to improve the squad then I am not going to start hoying my toys out the pram. I think once Allardyce is closer to having the squad he wants to start the season with then he may put his hand in the Piggy Bank and splash out. Anyway, isn't July 18th the magic date when the club is officially removed from the stock market? Surely if Ashley was going to release significant funs it would be in or around that date, after the review is complete.

The fact he said he needed to have another drink when he heard we were in for him leads me to believe that he wouldn't be anywhere near the top of Shearer's list if, god forbid, he did become manager in the near future
-
Make a point of how the majority of Newcastle fans don't want Shearer to become manager unless he has proved himself at other clubs first.

It was just after the Palace game, not learning their lessons from the paper aeroplances they gave out tiny foam football which were all launched onto the pitch at various times throughout the match. -

I think that is one thing he will not tell us. I do not expect Ashley/Mort will ever reveal how much is in the (player purchase) budget! I would not want them to, either. That would be "one big mistake" (and one I am sure they will not make!) In no way am I expecting him to say an exact figure but if he makes it clear money will be pumped in to attract a higher standard of players then i'll be chuffed.

I don't expect him to tell us all but if we atleast find out what we've got budget wise i'll be happy.
