  1. Anal on SSN now. Says he's just spoken to Redknapp and 'Arry says he's not spoken to us. But deep down AO gets the feeling it's a done deal.
  2. The mixed emotions of relief and shame if he says we've offered him a fortune in wages and a huge transfer kitty to join us and he's turned us down...
  3. Pointless, pointless, pointless. Might as well have continued stringing Sam along until we could get someone decent. Reckon there's going to be boos at the next home game when he's mentioned on the tannoy.

    Media Twaddle

Utter cunt at the bottom of the inside back page of the metro today, all the usual cliches about unrealistic expectation, we've never won fuck all, QPR and Sunderland have won stuff more recently than us, we're all deluded, we don't want to win ugly because that's not good enough for us, haha silly northerners.

Aye, fucking terrifies me the prospect of that!
  6. Sadly giving too much money to the wrong man could be even worse than being stingy with the right man...
  7. Someone go spray that on the side of St James, to the left of Shearer's bar where the Sky vans park.
  8. If what the papers are saying is true and this deal includes a huge buy out of his current club, a mega transfer kitty, obscene wages and a relocation package so attractive it includes use of a private jet surely we'd be able to tempt someone better than Harry fucking Redknapp with it? We hate cockneys and we hate cockneys...
  9. Greet him in your dressing gown and flash your goldfish shirt at him when he lands, i doubt we'll see him again.
  10. Fuck it, people already think our expectations are too high, we're not willing to give people a chance etc so we've nowt to lose anyway. If it is him, Harry Out chants and banners at the first match, brick his plane when it lands and hoss rotten fruit at the unveiling. Saves us doing it 6 months and however many million it will be down the line. If we go all out we can have him scuttling back down south within a week so it's not like starting again from square one.

    Jose Mourinho

Does that mean that after a few months it'll turn out he's not our manager after all?
  12. Don't worry, Mong Squad are on the case.
  13. Guess the logic would be that he asked for a big transfer kitty and one wasn't forthcoming for obvious reasons.
  14. I'd bite his fucking hand off at the moment with some of the other possibilities being touted.
  15. Latest favourites from oddschecker 1. Harry Redknapp 2. Mark Hughes 3. Kevin Keegan 4. Martin Jol 5. Alan Shearer 6. Gerard Houllier 7. Jose Mourinho 8. Nigel Pearson 9. Ottmar Hitzfeld 10. Steve McClaren
  16. And indeed the headlines have just been on, main story is that Harry has had no contact with Newcastle.
  17. Based on what? He's surely the favourite for the job. Flying to Newcastle tonight (SSN) Really? No, he's just being a dicknose. Edit: Watford have however rejected a £4m bid for Marlon King from Fulham however.
  18. Sounds promising, although we said Allardyce would remain as manager despite reports linking Sam's arse with Mort's shoe.
  19. If it's a Brit, about 12-18 months.
  20. Aye, might put a fiver on us to spice things up.

Yeah, because all Sam did wrong was not win the Champions League in 8 months. The crowd here are easy to please. All they wanted was a glimmer of progress. Sam couldn't even provide that.It wasn't because we weren't challenging top four, it wasn't that we weren't beating Liverpool or Arsenal because we didn't have the players yet. It was that we were going 90 minutes against Reading, Wigan, Derby, Portsmouth, the Mackems and not looking for 1 second like we had any chance or intention of winning the match. No mid-table club would have put up with that sorry state of affairs.
  22. I really see Shearer as being more of a Daglish type manager than a Keegan.
  23. yes but would you have been delighted if we'd won more but came out after every game like we did after birmingham knowing we didn't deserve it ? Chelsea fans were livid at our "ugly" long ball football we played against them, but we still deserved something. Results would have given him more time, taking a decent stab at it and not coming away with anything (like we did at blackbunr) would have given him more time. But about 80% of the time we were producing neither.
