Ozil's quality but didn't finish a lot of games for Real, which strikes me as odd. If it was just a selection thing, fair enough. If it was a physicality thing I think he'll struggle in the PL.

tbh I think the point of their shitty deadline day bids is a continuation of their shitty buying policy in general, not some attempt to appease anyone (i.e. the fans, who they don't care about and seek to annoy at every turn anyway) by appearing to be ambitious. That is to say there's nothing extraordinary about those bids at all; they panic but refuse to change the parameters of their bidding to match the urgency of the situation. Any underbidding on deadline day would have been an underbid on any other day of the transfer window as well. They're idiots, not hannibal lecter-ish adversaries.

As is with football fans though, it's usually 1 or 2 against a plethora of people who think otherwise. Sissoko and Anita were the reason we constantly kept the ball, and Sissoko's forward runs and confidence gave us something extra. Had a great game, as did Anita. Without rewatching the game I can't cite them, but I feel like there were a few occasions Sissoko, under no real pressure, made a 5 yard pass directly to the feet of a stationary Fulham player. That said he wasn't abhorrent. Anita was tidy.
