Why will we not sign a player for 16mill? We offered 12 for Carrol. I think if it is a good deal for the club we would pay 16 mill. Just in most cases there is always a better option for cheaper. Hypothetical but if Messi wanted to come to us for 16 mill, we would do it. It's hard to say what we need, sometimes players end up playing well without us expecting it, and formations change. Perch being an understudy to Tiote, and Anita possibly becoming a solid right back. Marv could make LW his own, or even possibly Fergie or Sammy. Another centre half would be the priority, whether that be a destroyer type to compliment Colo, or an understudy to Colo.

Stoke at home was one of the best performances I've seen from a midfielder. 2 Goals and an even better assist. He could have had a hat trick that day.

Quite. He's a class act. Think folk are getting a bit spoiled A lot of people just want to see such a talent being used better. Yep. The contrast in performance from him vs Stoke last season, and all the games in a 4-4-2. Ridiculous. Yes he makes a lot of challenges which is good for the team, but it would be nice to see him on the ball and dictating play especially at home.

I feel Cabaye became vastly overrated once RTG said Gardener was better. Cabaye has quality, but does not contribute enough in a 4-4-2, we haven't controlled games in midfield well enough this season. Cabaye may look better along side Tiote, but pretty much anyone would.

He's dog shit in 4-4-2 is what I'm trying to say. If people people are happy for a centre mid to pick out a sublime pass once a game then fair enough.

Bigi no doubt. Personally I'd be looking to offload Cabaye, he's not suited to 4-4-2, seems pointless having a player of that value if we aren't utilising him.

People have just massively overrated him, he just looks unsuited to the English game to me.

I think he should be loaned out for 3 months in the championship, give him some game time and hopefully he will realise he has some talent and can go past people. Or he will get snapped, have his confidence shattered and be even worse.
